Regarding the Trickster
Hey there everyone.
I just wanted to give my own two cents regarding the Trickster, because even after the changes that were made to him he still is not sitting in a good spot. He is little more than a gimmicky or meme-killer and not really anyone you can take into a match an expect to have a real chance to do decently with.
In my opinion, his main problems weren't addressed with the update:
He is too slow. His movement speed was altered while throwing, but that really isn't the issue. He should be a base 115% killer, similar to Legion, reduced to 110% or somewhere inbetween while throwing. This solves his problem of just being looped to death by Survivors when he tries to weave M1 with ranged attacks.
His second biggest issue is Laceration. It needs to not have a decay timer - it should work identically to the Plague's sickness meters, never decaying and only going away once an injury state is achieved. Additionally, I believe he takes too many knives to actually injure Survivors, but that is part of another issue --
His knives. I have a few ideas to tweak them; different routes it could go:
Option 1: 5 Knives to cause injury; another 5 to down. (w/ of course, Laceration being unending)
Option 2: Remove the shotgun-spread and inaccuracy of his ability. There isn't any reason to miss a Survivor standing still with your cursor directly on them. It is bad enough that Survivors can just duck behind the plethora of cover options that litter maps, the inaccurate throws is just an insult - especially given that he needs multiple hits for an injury vs. the Huntress that doesn't have 'random accuracy' adjustment and gets an instant injury with her hatchet throw. With this change, it could stay 8 knives to injure. (w/ of course, Laceration being unending)
Option 3: Unlimited knives. He shouldn't need to go 'refill' his knives, make him different from the Huntress. 30 knives sounds like plenty - but with his horrendously inaccurate throws, you're literally using like 20-25 of that 30 just to hit your 8 usually against any slightly-wiggly Survivor target. (w/ of course, Laceration being unending)
