Plague Re-work idea
Let's talk about a character like"The Plague". In particular, her killing abilities. Recently, I decided to take another look at the developer statistics on the killers. Looking at it again, I noticed that the "Plague" was in one of the last places. But why does a maniac with completely interesting abilities occupy such a modest place?
Think of the "recent" improvement in the plague situation. She added a bonus "loyalty cell" (third apple), which was supposed to give her strength in the fight against malicious "anti-vaccinations" and give them an incentive to drink water. after that, his condition didn't improve much. This cell is very situational and does not solve the main problem of the "plague" - its dependence on"survivors". In theory, the "attenuation" effect should be a sufficient incentive to treat the disease. Unfortunately, only in theory. The plague becomes a very big problem for beginners due to the fact that they do not know how to resist, but this does not prevent good players from owning skills such as "second chance" and basic knowledge of turns, allowing them to gain distance and avoid damage in a seemingly hopeless situation, but this is not the point. Addons for "plague" is a separate topic, who came up with the " red "addon that only works when you are "Gen Rush"? A rhetorical question, isn't it? Or maybe you now want to exclaim: "Hey, what about the builds with the skill Thanatophobia?!"Well, judging by the statistics, this skill does not solve much in the game, I'm sure that this method was tested first on the "Plague". At the same time, it is extremely inconvenient to activate her ability during a match.
"Plague" 2.0. Prototype (perhaps there is something to correct, logically refine).
The "plague" will draw strength from the infected, accumulate "loyalty points" (let's call it that), which it will receive both passively (while someone is infected) and actively (for catching infected survivors). This ability will resemble the ability of the Oni killer. Non-fully infected survivors will have to give relatively fewer "loyalty points" / "time units" than survivors brought to full infection. The survivors will also have fountains in which they can purify themselves. Fully infected purge survivors will fill the Plague's "loyalty cage" by half, but if an infected survivor is hung from a plague hook, a full "loyalty cage" will be created, and the survivors will recover from the infection and gain 30-second immunity after being released from the hook. You can activate the "loyalty cell" at any time, BUT it will take 4 seconds to activate (the camera will be pointing up, calls to the gods). With a partial infection, a survivor who does not interact with objects is infected rather weakly, and the lower the level of infection, the less "loyalty points" the Plague will receive during purification, during the game, and during capture.
Callouts:
passive accumulation is negligible until the scale of infection reaches the middle.
-after cleaning, the fountain will also be unavailable for a certain period of time.
- the accumulated "Loyalty Cell" will also beep when it is ready and during activation.
-I planned to disable the self-infection of "survivors" if the player is "slightly injured", and make it more intense when treating/repairing/cleaning.
- now the "survivors" are always sick, but depending on the level of infection, its probability will vary and even at the maximum level you will have to recharge.
-once the survivor is hung from the hook, he is completely cured of the infection, he can not get infected on the hook and for another 30 seconds after the hook.
The Rainbow Seal will now give you the ability to contain 2 loyalty cells, but will reduce the assassin's speed to 4.4 and some other limitations in terms of using this ability. (As the saying goes: "dissatisfied?" suggest an alternative!")
I know that there is something to work on, there is something to finish, but so far this is just an idea.
Maybe my idea will turn the killer into a "shotgun", but in any case, as far as I understand, it is much better than her current situation.
