A way to fix hypergenspeed at higher ranks?

So in a lot of red rank games, survivors seem to manage to rush gens in a few minutes regardless of killer/map/combination, resulting in games usually lasting 4-6 mins untill 5th gen pops

My suggestion is a genslowdown determined by the survivor ranks. (6 secs pr red ranker, 3 secs pr purple ranker)

added to all gentimes.. ie at yellow and below, gens go at a frosty 80 secs a pop..

at 4 redranks gens would then be 104 sec ... 2 red 2 purple would be 98 secs and 4 purple at 92 secs

maybe an additive bonus of +10/15/20 for 2/3/4 man "teams".. i guess 98+% of all survivors that play together are on comms which is not how the game is meant to be played giving teams a MASSIVE bonus..

this would help slow down games at high rank and let potatoes, potate at lower ranks

  • Thing is : by nerfing swf even duos you heavily nerf solo survivors who have to play with them.

Also in red ranks, survivors knows that splitting is the best solution to get objectives done, while in purple and above survivors tend to stay together and give you more pressure.

  • This is why a big majority of killers uses Undying/Ruin, you don't have to lose your time to kick, and you got a decent regression.

Or you're super fast in your chases and apply a huge pressure, or one time you'll have to defend your hook surv. When you see generators are flying, you lose pressure. So you have to...

    • Play normally and hope that survivors will make mistakes because overconfident (or anything else).
    • Or rely on pressure making strategies, slug and/or protect your hook. When you slug, you immediately can defend a gen and start another chase, forcing a third survivor to go heal the downed guy (beware of unbreakable). At least 3 survivors are doing nothing productive about gen. When you protect hook, you're trying to confirm a kill (making a 3v1, and making the slug strat super effective), and survivors will come to you. A survivor is coming ? Hit him : he wants to commit his unhook ? Hook him and repeat ; he goes away ? Pursue him, but don't go farther than 12-16 meters from the hook. By doing that, you'll get survivors injured. It has to be played smartly, or might just got robbed your game. Patrol around the hook.

Survivors don't like these plays, but sometimes you don't have any other choices, this is strategy. If you see Tournaments, killers do that very often, or else they loose pretty bad (even top tier killers like Nurse or Spirit). Don't be ashamed of playing smartly.

  • Just make everyone who brings a brand new part have their shoelaces tied together for the first few gens, they can only hop around and if they try to vault they fall over.
