Oppression change

Original:

Life has been difficult for you, so you'll make it difficult for others.

When you damage a Generator, up to 3 other random Generators also begin regressing.

If the affected Generators are being repaired, any Survivors repairing them receive a difficult Skill Check.

Oppression has a cool-down of 120/100/80 seconds.

Changed:

Life has been difficult for you, so you'll make it difficult for others.

When you damage a Generator, up to 3 other random Generators that have progress, will also begin regressing.

If the affected Generators are being repaired, any Survivors repairing them receive a difficult Skill Check, failing said skill check will regress the generator by 10% and alert the killer of their location. Succeeding the skill check will grant 0% progress and allow the generator to be repaired normally.

Any generator affected by Oppression, that immediately begins regressing the generator, additionally applies the effect of any applicable perks.

Oppression has a cool-down of 120/100/80 seconds.

"Damn them as they would damn us." — Charlotte Deshayes

Why:

A more interesting change to oppression that will give more value by allowing other perks to affect the oppressed generators and decreasing the randomness of it, even regressing the generator more if the skill check is failed, ensuring some type of value in almost all cases. However, prevents said perks from activating if the generator was one that a survivor was repairing. (Especially if the perks was something like dragon’s grip and/or overcharge.) With the change, the excessive cool down for oppression would be more warranted.

idk, seems a little broken tbh:

    • You can stop only gens being worked on and force survivors to pass a difficult skill check or lose 10%
    • You apply all generator affecting perks to it

Dragon's Grip could cause all survivors to scream and reveal themselves and then all be exposed for 60 seconds. You can literally give any killer Tier 3 Myers.

Overcharge would give them a second difficult skill check and regress for a max of 15%.

Pop would damage each for 25% and then potentially apply an additional 10% (Mix that with Overcharge and you now have 40% regression)

Surveillance would activate automatically for up to four gens if survivors are working on them.

Lastly, Trail of Torment would give you four generators total for survivors to find and begin progression on again or continue to allow you to have Undetectable potentially for the entirety of the game, turning any killer into a stealth killer.

    Everything is said there.

Actually I don't think Oppression has to be changed now, it saves time for the killer, and can give you tracking (depending on the survivor), there are plenty of perks which need much more attention than Oppression ! :)

No I guess I didn’t make it clear, some perks would not work well thus need special stipulations for the purposes of not breaking them but:

•If a survivor is working on a generator that is affected by Oppression, other applicable perks that would affect a regressing generator will NOT apply. Only generators that are initially not being worked on AND have some amount of progress when Oppression activates will be affected by that change.

•So if all generators affected are being worked on (besides the generator you’re kicking) and you kick a generator where Oppression, Dragon’s Grip, Overcharge, and Pop Goes the Weasel: Those generators will only receive ONE tremendous skill check and won’t be affected by Dragon’s Grip, Overcharge, and/or Pop Goes the Weasel. So with Surveillance it would not show the auras of those generators either.

•For something like Trail of torment, it would either be placed on one of the random generators or the one you kick and excuse as not being an applicable effect from a perk.
