Deadhard potentially broken

Everytime I try to use the deadhard perk before the killer gets a chance to stab me, they still land the hit even when I activate the perk.This is possibly a hitbox issue or some hit validation glitch. Before it use to work fine but now everytime that I use it, it doesn't activate accordingly to when I want to use it. I'm not sure if anyone else has seen it recently but I sure have, deadhard used to work fine before the whole update came out so I'm thinking it either has to do with the hitbox, hit validation or some of the animations screwed up the perk.
