The Entity has a face
This game has some strong similarities the the movie "The Ritual"
"According to The Ritual, ancient Scandinavian people who were burdened by emotional pain were sometimes granted an otherworldly escape—their gods sent a nameless beast to ease their suffering. The beast gave every tortured person a choice: Submit and worship it for life, or die in unimaginable pain."
The creature has its way of selecting those who would worship it and a way to select the once who should be killed.
If chosen you must give the creature a sacrifice at midnight which it kills.
If not chosen you'll be hunted by it and murdered in the most painful way possible.
It has the ability to create realms and drag you in it
