An ""Objective"" look at OoO proposed change
Alright so, if the "Whenever the killer sees your aura, you see theirs" works these will be the interactions that can be expected.
Perks:
Sole Survivors - Combowin this with other perks the reveal you will grant you "safe" aura reading, although this may not, as since Sole disrupts the killer's aura reading, it may not be a helpful combo.
Distortion - You'd run out of tokens after 2 minutes (if no other aura reveals occurred.) Kinda silly combo, but grants free early game info.
Mettle of Man (Bae) - Straight upgrade combo, you're aura is being shown anyway, might as well see the killer too. Very good.
Off the record - Depends on how the perks will interact. Your aura is not shown to the killer, so it may either disable OoO for 80 seconds or still show you the killer aura even though they can't see yours. This will depend on the devs choice.
Bitten Murmur - Free Dark Sence when you finish a generator.
Lightborn - You know 100% if the killer has it if you try to blind them and then see their aura.
A Nurse's Calling - The same thing, if healing and you see the killer, you know they have it.
Hex: The Third Seal - Danger, you're blinded, the killer can still see you for free every 30 seconds, keep a locker near-by.
Territorial Imperative - Enter the basement and see the killer on-demand, hopefully, they're not close.
BBQ - Is BBQm just assume they have it, but every hook shows you the killer if you're far away.
Blood Warden - You now know if they have it, stand in the exit gate area, if you see them, try not to get baited into an AFK 4k.
Hangman's Trick - See someone get downed? Stand near a hook, if you see the killer's aura, they got it, use to safely learn where the killer is.
I'm all Ears - See the killer's aura when you do a fast action within range, only helpfull.
Nemesis - Bap the killer to get the second part of OoO to re-active if it was taken. Also tells if more obviously if they have it.
Hex: Retribution - Bam, now when it's cleaned, you see the killer's aura for 10 seconds.
Hex: Undying - Find a dull totem, now you get aura reading in the old style of OoO, though if you stay there it gives the killer a 3v1 instead of a 4v1, even if you're feeding info to your teammates.
Addons:
in all cases (except addons for stealth killers) it's only helpful.
My H O T take:
New OoO will be very interesting, and potentially dangerous if the killer has addons or perks that Blind you, it straight up only helps them. See in cases where that happens, keeping a locker near-by would be best, and trying to swap the obsession to someone else is most advised.
But since most blindness add-ons and perks are seen as garbage, the only time this will be an issue is directly after the change and for a month after. Then everyone will forget.
Over all, I rate this change 9/10.
