Rank rework changes competitive mode?

Does the rank rework shut down the "competitive" mode on dbd? Rank kind indicates your "skill", but with the upcomming changes its more of a grind then a ladder imo.

Now that every1 is getting the same "rank" and we "play" for a reward, what will indicate your skill lvl on dbd? IF there ever was any, some of you might say.


Also, with the fixed matches on killer and survivors, will good survivor only meet the same killer over and over? and have less variable on other killer that are not good on former "red ranks"

    MMR will hopefully match people against people of their skill level. It remains to be seen if that will be the case, but if anything games will be more competitive.

    They are adding in a secret rank system that’s not visible to the players...

    If MMR works and you are one of the top 1% of players, you should be going against or matched up with other 1%ers.

    I know, but we have no idea how the rank for us will be. Except, if we are good with one killer, match after match, wed know that we will face good survivors and thats it?...

    That’s it, personally I think it’s a lame reason for them to cover up the dodgy matchmaking we will all soon face
