Trap escape should be a progress bar instead of luck based
Trapper trap escapes are being updated.
From the January 2021 Developer Update (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/217721):
To combat this, we are switching to a flat distribution: Each time a Survivor steps in a trap, it will take them between 1-6 attempts to escape.
Why is this random instead of being a progress bar that, when filled, lets you escape from the trap? When a Survivor is stuck in a trap forever (6+ attempts) that will feel bad for that player. When a Survivor escapes after the first attempt that will feel bad for the Killer.
Those situations will be rarer than before with the changes, but they can still happen. With a flat progress bar, or escape being automatic after X seconds, this problem does not exist.

100% agreed. I don't like the idea of it being RNG, even if the RNG is flattened.
