Totem Cleansing Rework
Tl;dr totems no longer reset straight to 0 when you stop cleansing them and instead regress at the same speed a generator does when kicked. Additionally, Ruin could affect the regression time of totems if it's still up.
So I came up with this idea after reading countless "NERF RUIN + UNDYING" threads and whatnot and feel like it would be a very sensible change to totems as, currently one of the biggest problems with trying to track down and cleanse Ruin + Undying (Or even Dull Totems while Undying is active) is that the killer gets vision on you while you're doing so and if they have any sort of mobility they can get to you and possibly even interrupt you before you can finish the cleanse.
Now I'm sorry but (I'm still semi-new to the game) when I found out that Totem progress resets to 0 when you let go I just thought that was the most awful thing ever. Especially if a killer decides to camp and protect their lit totems, it can feel impossible to ever get rid of them, again especially if it's a high mobility killer.
This change would indirectly nerf the Ruin + Undying combo without actually nerfing either perk so their power remains but totems become a bit more manageable to do. Totems regressing also keeps it at least a little fair for killer as, survivors can't 99 totems and then come back and tap them right away without them regressing somewhat.
Idk, let me know what you all think of this or if you'd make any changes. I feel it would be more fair this way and make more sense than nerfing Ruin or Undying.

It shouldn't regress. It should stay exactly where it was progressed for only the survivor attempting to cleanse it.
There's no need to make all Hex perks even more risky. Ruin and undying has a strong synergy but that's not the case for many other hexes, since undying doesn't save stacks. For example Devour hope wouldn't be worth it anymore if you can't even defend it.
Cleansing totems takes 14 seconds. It would be way too easy to get rid of killer's perks if totem progress didn't reset.

Of course killers want to protect their totems, especially if there are already stacks. That's also a risk for the killer: while protecting the hex, they can't protect gens that well. Being able to cleanse a hex is not something that survivors should take for granted.
