Twins - unable to pick up survivor at gate

Survivor had Victor on back, downed at gate. Most of the time I have been able to pick up without issue. Last game, pickup option never appeared despite hovering over body and spanning the pickup button, and 5 seconds later the survivor crawled out.
On a previous game I also remember it taking a few extra seconds for the pickup option to appear but it finally did at the last second. So there appears to be a bug still in this scenario.
