a tipp for survivor/killer (mains)

you're a killer main who never touched survivor maybe just for 2-3 games

or a survivor main who never played killer.

this tipp is for you.

play the other role! and here is why.

First, you will get so much better in the game belive me. you sometimes dont understand how this survivor completely outplayed you and knew what you will do next? because this guy read your mind and that is probably because this survivor also play killer or you get mindgamed by a killer when you didnt expect it? you couldnt read the mind of the killer? because you dont play the other role, you wont know anything about what is going in his head.

you will get so much understanding of how your opponent will play/mindgame or anything like that just by playing the other role, but not just for 1 match.. you need to play more.

"but i dont wanna get bullied"

belive me we all got bullied.. and we always will. i could now talk about my first killer games what happend to me but oh lord you dont wanna know these things "blood lodge 2017" thats all i have to say (no bamboozle, no corrupt, old ds etc)

but just do it, its not that bad.. well actually it is but just try it.

the second and maybe the most important thing what most main players need.

EMPHATY

main players dont have emphaty to the other role. Survivors bully the "bad word" out of killers because they dont know how frustrating it is. Killers tunnel survivors within 2 minutes because they dont know how unfun it is and think "hey thats my objective"

emphaty is something what really is missing in DBD unfortunately...

but once you get this emphaty you will understand the pain of the other role.. you will start trying to be nicer to who deserves it.

"bad word" the BMing people you can tunnel them, who doesnt care about your fun shouldnt get any mercy.

but not everyone is like that.. belive me guys. i played this game for over 5K hours since july or august 2016.. and i met so many different people.

you will stop with the attitude "all survivors/killers are bad word"

the last thing is about balance.

sometimes i play with my friends.. and some of them say things like "omg myers is OP" and im laughing in the background.. thats is because they dont know anything about the other role.

you will understand the balance.. you will see how weak some killers are... how BS designed some maps are like haddonfield. how BS moris and keys are. and so much more. you wont complain anymore about every little thing when you start understanding both sides.

we will always have the one role we love more. im a survivor main. but i also play killers.

i play probably 60% survivor and 40% killer. and nobody will ever blame you for playing one side more then the other one. nobody can force you to play the other role.. but you will get a lot of advantages and understanding about the game.

maybe you're a toxic survivor main and tbag all killers.. but when you start playing killer and it happens to you.. maybe you will change.

maybe you're a killer main who hard tunnels everyone.. just get tunneled 5 games in a row.. and belive me if you could you would use 4 times DS when it was possible. just try it guys.

dont forget.. we play games to have fun not to destroy the fun of other people.

Good luck.

  • So you're saying Empathy is a good perk?

  • I've always played both sides, but ever since the Rift came out, even more than ever.

Gotta play both sides for that daily 300 XP bonus, not to mention the archive challenges.

As a solo player, its definitely a good perk. In swf however, no.

  • Playing both sides is important in getting better and having empathy for the experience of your opponents.

But I think, it must be done with equal intensity. If you're a rank 1 survivor, and play a rank 20 killer game a couple times a month, you are not really understanding the truth of high rank competitive killer.

But so much can be healed between the "mains" if each person took the time to play both sides.

    Also, que times!
