How to fix (some of) dbd?

The devs prolly don't listen to us plebs, but I hope some day they take the money we keep giving them and do something good with it. So here are a couple of things I think could improve the game a bit.

The tl;dr of this is that to fix a certain part of the game, gens should take longer to complete, but completing objectives around the map will increase the repair speed and you don't lose gen progress while doing these objectives.

Also, perks and survivors should be categorized, so not every killer/survivor can use every perk, because we should be able to have a variety of gameplay and no broken combos. If you're interested in the details, then read on....

The first change I would suggest would would require less in programming and thought than the second change I'm going to suggest, but I feel would improve the gameplay quite a bit for both survivors and killers by preventing gen rushing and giving more for players to do to contribute to the team. The suggestion is as follows:

Generators take longer to finish. A LOT longer. Like 20 minutes or so at the beginning of the match per gen. However, fixing gens will operate a lot like the Brand New Part toolbox add on. Gens will keep repairing even when you're not actively repairing them. The auto-repair speed will increase as you continue to repair, up to a maximum amount. If you are actively repairing the gen, you can repair slightly higher than the current auto-repair speed.

Completing objectives around the map will increase the maximum auto repair speed. Objectives include cleansing totems, opening chests, completely depleting items and performing altruistic activities. The killer's damage to a generator will not cause it to constantly regress down to 0. Maybe a small regress when he kicks it, but kicking will mostly just stop the auto-repair. Ruin can cause constant regression on a generator that is kicked. Also, hiding in lockers or doing no objectives will cause the nearest generator to lose auto-repair speed over time. And the bird that alerts the killer to useless players can come in faster, too.

The new gen system could be tweaked for balance. Like instead of slowly building up repair speed, generate stacks by passing skill checks that give repair speed per stack, completing objectives increases the maximum amount of stacks per gen, and the killer can only remove a certain amount of stacks by kicking a gen. Ruin could still be a powerful Hex perk by reducing stacks to zero by kicking.

This suggestion helps make some of the lesser used perks viable. Perks to help find totems is good. Cleansing dull totems are good. Perks to find chests are good. Too much hiding is also punished. This change wouldn't work thematically, though, because how does the gen repair by itself and how does using a medkit increase the repair speed? But I'm okay with suspending disbelief for a more fun experience.

The second suggestion requires a lot more thought and work to implement since there are no current systems to piggyback off of. This suggestion would help fix some of the staleness of the endgame for dedicated players and promote a wider variety of gameplay choices and reduce overpowered combos. (By endgame I mean they've purchased every perk for every survivor/killer).

Basically, unlocking perks would NOT unlock them for every other killer/survivor. Killers/survivors would have categories, like stealth, aggressive, altruistic, etc. Perks would also have these categories. Unlocking a perk would unlock it for all survivors/killers within their respective category. You can separate some of the broken combos (like ruin/undying) without completely removing or reworking them. This also doesn't create just one build that works for all characters. There would be at least as much possible meta builds as there are categories, even if one category seems to be more powerful than another. This also makes it so once you've unlocked all of the perks, playing as a different survivor isn't just akin to playing with a different skin.

Anyways, just my two cents. Don't know how well this would actually work out. But thanks for reading!
