They should have made the Entity Cult thing something to be discovered through events...
Some people might love it, I don't. I'm of course talking about the whole Entity Cult thing and the cult that tries to fight it and all that has been such a core thing the last two chapters.
And it takes away from the lore as a whole. When Kate had a previous encounter with the entity, that was something special, something mysterious. Something to keep one curious.
Now? Now it's shaping up that all killers and survivors had a brush with the entity, the cult or the other cult, and have thus been taken by the big sky-spider, whether or not it has been revealed in lore snippets yet or not.
Don't get me wrong, this could have been awesome, but somehow the last two chapters made the prospect of it quite meh to me.
It's this dreaded 'chosen one' trope taking form, and that always goes awry.
Like, had the existence of the cults been something we could discover through other events, sure. but this whole 'oh yeah, new characters, and lookit this. MEANINGFULNESS'.... ehh
