Myers was merely "described" as been evil not that he was:

An evil force that's loose," a force that is "unkillable".[2] Nicholas Rogers elaborates, "Myers is depicted as a mythic, elusive bogeyman, one of superhuman strength who cannot be killed by bullets, stab wounds, or fire"
I think they are both described as evil etc and doing evil things in their own means and manners, but I don't think anything is set in stone. I hope this helps.
