BBQ Auras: New Development?

So I played killer today and noticed that I could see survivor auras when they were hiding behind a gen. But here’s the kicker: it only worked when I turned so that the gen’s aura was near the side of the screen. At that point, I saw the survivor’s brighter aura separate from the gen’s somewhat duller one.

Is this a change? Was it a one time thing? Has anyone else noticed this? Anyone wanna test it and report back? Have I just found a huge buff to BBQ?

    It has been like that since the aura change, you can see some orange-y colors behind a gen if they are hiding as well.

    I think that's normal I honestly believe they should change the color of a spotted survivor altogether though.
