Nurse the best but yet most forgotten killer of DBD

If you check any tier list based on how good a killer is you will 99% of the time see Nurse in S+

She was the first killer that forced survivors to think outside the box. Ignoring any defense survivors could use to make distance,

Her blink would also allow her to travel across the map creating amazing gen pressure. Slugging is also a popular strat on Nurse due to how fast she can end chases and move on to the next target.

But why? Why does barley anyone play her anymore, if she is the best killer why does so many people play Freddy, Spirit and even Hag instead. They all are strong but not as strong as Nurse expect maybe Spirit with a ridiculous loadout (double pink addons, stridor)

Back around 2018-2019 you would get One Nurse after another. Community screamed for a change

Ask and you shall recivie said the devs on BHVR. When Nurse on the PTB came out everything seemed pretty fine, she was easier to deal with but still remained in a very. very strong spot.

But how come we started to see less of Nurse even if she was as effective as before?

simple. The one thing that ######### every patch up

B U G S

Nurse has the most bugs of everything in this game. Almost (if not every) Patch would hit other killers like Trapper, wraith, Pig and now Spirit with new bugs. Those bugs got fixed and will be fixed eventally. But Nurse? Nah Its been what now, right a whole year after her rework, and she still have the same bugs as before. And y'all complain about some ######### bug on Spirit that make it easier to hear her in phase walk, yeah nah gtfo we all know that ######### will only take a few days to get fixed meanwhile Nurse will still suffer in silence. Do I still 4K as her? Yes I do. Do I still perfom well with her? Yes. But her being so buggy justfiy nothing and I dont understand how the Devs could turn such a blind eye on her. And dont even get me started on midwhich....

Also we can fix a Nurse related which make her zoom faster then lightspeed, but cant fix her blink charge, her not being able to blink thru certain objects/obstacles etc.

Sorry for the long rant but it just make no sense why such a major issue has been ignored for such a long time now.

  • First off, nobody ever points out that the Nurse is not as effective as before. This version and the earliest ones are the biggest gulf in effectiveness. Yes, she's still the best killer on paper, but she's also the hardest to play, made more difficult with each version. With the sweeping nerfs to her addons, she can neither blink as many times, nor as far as before.

Previously, she could make two blinks cover most of the map from end to end, or three blinks that accomplished roughly the same thing. Now, she covers a fraction of the distance attempting the same setup.

More than ever, this limited distance and accessibility of additional chain blinks makes it harder to be effective with her. With Ruin nerfed, she has a shorter time limit to actually get her momentum going as well.

Combine all of this with how much survivors can be ######### to the player, why invest insane amounts of hours into learning a killer when another can be nearly as effective in a fraction of the time?

Sure, if you invest the time and become insanely good, you can bulldoze even the best of SWF teams, but you're going to experience a lot of suffering on the way to that goal.

Yeah I know how strong she is and the long learning curve and time effort you need to put into her to "git gud"

    BUT

what does that have to do with anything about her being a huge buggy mess that the Devs dont even care about?
