Why can't polls have more than 10 options?

Please add more so we can have much more variety to our answers. 10 feels a bit restrictive

    Not enough people vote on polls anyway.

    Sure they are fun, but they don't hold enough weight to be meaningful.

    Would be nice if they had a feature where you could choose a pre-defined list though.

    Obvious candidates would be a Killer list and a Survivor list. And allow those to exceed the 10 option limit.
