Hags hook trapping mechanic

If The Hag places a trap it should count as her being there so if she places a trap right next to a hooked survivor she just constantly loses points at an even greater rate than other killers because the player willingly places their traps there. This will minimize the camping by Hag players and force them to use their traps more effectively than using them solely for camping a hook.

  • Hag shouldn't be able to place traps right next to the hook.

  • Traps shouldn't be triggered by walking. Period.

Current Hag can make lose-lose situations ESPECIALLY near hooks. Crawl towards/away from a hook? Hag will walk there and smack you. Walk/Run away cuz she's coming back? She'll teleport and smack you.

Also, either they make her traps stop moving the survivor's cameras, or they lock the trap in the position that it first spawned in, removing their auto-aiming.

AND, the previous bug that she had where she couldn't move for a split second after teleporting? Make that into an actual thing. Hags out here spamming M1 after teleporting is really really wack. Or atleast remove her ability to lunge right after teleporting. Make it so she has to wait a second after teleporting in order to lunge, if she spams M1 she'll just default swing.

EDIT: Make Mint Rag allow traps to be triggered when survivors walk near them.

Oh for sure. I mean it don't stop the other strategy where the hag plans 5+ traps in the vicinity at other spots but it would at least stop using the pink add on from being a free grab.

Hey if I had my way Hag wouldn't be in the game lol

  • I think the best solution would be to make it so she can't teleport to traps within 8 metres of a hooked survivor (much more would be unfair, I think). Allow them to still be triggered and spawn a phantasm, cos god knows she needs the information (from the direction the phantasm faces) when she's on the other side of the map, but don't allow the teleport.

Allowing the unhooked survivor around 3-5 seconds of immunity from triggering traps might not be a bad idea, either. Gives them a small chance to escape, while the rescuer is still somewhat vulnerable. It also prevents the annoying issue of an unhooked survivor running away and triggering the trap(s) that their rescuer has tried so hard to avoid.

Would these changes make her more fun to play against? Probably not, but they'd make her a little bit more fair. And for those complaining about instant teleport hits, Hag is almost worthless without traps - she's got to have something that good players can take advantage of! Keep her busy, don't let her set up too much, and run around setting off as many traps as you can when she's carrying someone. The whole point of her is she can control the map - don't let her do it :)

That does nothing except derank hags. And I, for one, care nothing about rank except that I feel bad when playing against a host of yellow ranks, murdering them all within 5 minutes.
