Seeing Other Survivors While on the Hook

Have hooked survivors always been able to see the other survivors auras while on the hook? Even as primarily a survivor player, this seems broken.

1.) It encourages players to DC when they feel like their team mates aren't going to save them or they're too far away.

2.) It allows SWF to more accurately describe whats going on. Forcing the chat people to at least describe where they are would at least make it slightly more challenging than to be able to say "Go left now!" The hooked survivor is like Morpheus in the office.

If this was added post-game-release, I'd be curious the reasons why it was deemed necessary.

Honestly back when I first started, I thought my game glitched out or something on Survivor. I couldn't understand why I was being given so much information when I only had a single perk.
