Imagine and guess what would happen to the game and community IF most killer players decided to....
Most killer players decided to...:
1.Stop playing DbD for one day!
2.Stop playing DbD for several days!
3.Stop playing DbD for one week!
4.Stop playing DbD for several weeks!
5.Stop playing DbD for one month!
6.Stop playing DbD for several months
7.Stop playing DbD for indefinity!
..Doesn't matter what you think, because the end result would be that most couldn't play! Because the killers are the backbone of this game. So perhaps it's time for the devs to realize that it also has to be fun and engaging to play killer, to play a killer that actually has power and superiority over the pesky survivors. Currently, it's more a chore than it's entertainment, it's stressfull, frustrating and demanding for most killers. Why? Because of the game balance being skewed in favor of the survivors. There are lot of videos out there on this subject, and tons of people who express this on the various forums, and some devs understand this and is quite aware of many of actual balance issues and have good ideas on how to fix it, but those who're in charge of things, well, they have a different opinion and thus do it their way, which has the effect of breaking the game even further. We even experience our legitimate concerns and thoughts about the game's current state and it's progress, being outright being dismissed on devstream from certain devs about this, instead of acknowledgement and a pledge to do better.
What will it take for you - the devs in charge to realize that you cannot keep on dismissing our concerns and thoughts? Because more and more killer players are saying enough is enough and quit playing altogether, simply because you break the gamebalance more and more, and it's already bad enough as it is. DbD is going downhill, I truly want DbD to succeed, it has so much potential, and obviously it's a good game. But what is that makes it a good game, it's balance or it's gameplay concept? Certainly not it's balance thats for sure. I've personally many times tried to point out some of the most obvious issues with the gameplay balance, like so many others have, you've even in several devstreams admitted various gamebalance issues, but you have taken no steps to fix those, instead you introduce bandaid solutions that require even more balancing, which breaks the gamebalance further. As it is, the gamebalance is quite strongly skewed in favor of the survivors.
This isn't just the perks, but down to the fundamental gamemechanics of the game, where adding more for the survivors to do, won't fix that, because the survivors still have so many tools and perks to help them do their objective, stay alive, help each, harass the killer, and even bully the killer. This may seem like a rant, and maybe it is, but it doesn't change the fact that this is so very true, and the later you realize the above, the more killer players will have left because they've grown tired of the game. Already a lot of those people who've been so passionate about the game, dedicated so much of time and commitment to the game, just suddenly have the feeling that game is dead to them and then quitting the game - that doesn't just happen overnight, thats something that has been building up, guess what that is, issues with the game that is frustrating and stressful to deal with, were we keeping on hoping you will fix it, but we just never see that fix, and when you say you're going to fix it, then it doesn't happen or if it does it's only slightly but not even close enough to what is needed. I mean no disrespect to the devs or the leaders, but you really need to start realizing that more and more is fed up with all of these issues not getting fixed and for the most part made even worse. It is an assymetrical game, so it should be 4 inferiour one against one superior one, where it takes skill and effort of the four to overcome that powerful and superior one - thats not how it is now.
I encourage anyone who feels this way or agree with the above to step up and express yourself! In my opinion this game really needs to change for the better, and the devs in charge needs to realize they seriously need to step up understand their game and get their priorities straight! Ultimately if people don't want to play killers, then the game will die!
