Killers Iris vs Surv Iris

Recently I noticed that Iri add ons are making the game for some killers harder instead of making it easier since Chains of Hate chapter. For example.

Old killer

Trapper add ons bloody coil and iri stone help trapper to doing his job easier.

Okay now goes the real #########

Since Chains of Hate Iri add ons are underwhelming and have diff condition or maybe useless.

The deadslinger Iris

Iri coin: Surv get exposed while being harpooned if you hit him at 15 m. ERRRM okay so you wish we snipe survs and they get a chance to escape? Thats not helping that is Skill=reward.

Iri harpoon (forgot the name) while u havr another surv harpooned you see the auras on your terror radius. Nice is a semistealth killer and we add addons related with inside TR. Pretty good JOB! So far! (sarcasm).

Billy rework add ons

You revving ur chsinsaw fast but u are 110% killer.

Nurse add on rework

Matches box One more blink but cant go throught walls. Bravo ๐Ÿ‘

Survivors Iris doesn't have any condition, they can add powerfull effects like aura reading plus even if they consumed their charges they can open hatch.

Where are the skill=reward here?

  • Billy's increased charge time is a Very Rare, not Ultra Rare. His two Ultra Rares are:

    - Iridescent Brick: After chainsaw sprinting for 2 seconds, gain the Undetectable Status Effect

    - Apex Muffler: Survivors outside your terror radius cannot hear your chainsaw sounds.

Not to mention Bubba's two Ultra Rares are actually very good. Pyramid Head's are ehhhhhh but Blight's are also pretty sick.

The reason survivor's ultra rares are stronger is because they have literally five of them.

    - Skeleton Key (confirmed by devs to be getting changes).

    - Rainbow Map (a pretty balanced item unless you're trapper).

    - Brand New Part (still annoying to deal with but significantly better now than what it used to be *ahem* instant gen *ahem*)

    - Anti-hemorrhaging Syringe (now in a good spot, it rewards you for your skill in a chase if you pop it and get a health state back but run the risk of being hit and losing said free health state).

    - Odd Bulb (a literally useless add-on that needs a change).

That's why you can think of so many bad killer Ultra Rares; each killer except Huntress has two of them, and with 21 different killers that's a total of 41 Ultra Rares. When you have a total of 41 to compare to a total of 5, of course you'll be able to pick and choose the weaker ones to fit your narrative.

  • Said it before:

they entire system's ought to be reworked from pretty much scratch, not in little changes here and there.

To balance add-ons, offerings, skills etc things ought to become a bit more complex and a bit more strategical, but so many people in the community seem as averse against that idea as they are upset about the current system.

On paper neither side has an advantage, in practice... How is Iri Map with the purple lense equal to a of killer iris? sure, Huntress for example has the iri heads, but these still require her to find and hit survivors, while a iri map survivor can traverse the map, telling their teammates where stuff is.

On the other side, how are iris that let you mori survivors equal to e.g. BNP?

As said, it's a mess and really needs to be reworked from the ground up.

I picked up those becuz is since the Nurse rework and chains of Hate that they are doing those kind of Iris. There is no old killer with bad Iri add on after those.

btw the blight add on iri that need to consume all tokens for down a surv is really good isnt it?

I was on about compound 33 if I'm being honest but you can actually get gen snipes with that add-on lol.
