Rework + balance requests for Jigsaw's Baptism
The entire concept behind the Saw movies is to have the victims "play a game" and "make [their] choice". Certain aspects of Jigsaw's Baptism in its current state, however, don't allow this and are unfair for both sides. On the one hand, a Reverse Bear Trap can have its effect delayed or denied (waiting for generator pop/after all five generators are already completed), rendering its threat low or obsolete. On the other hand, a survivor can have their ability to 'play the game' (both literally and specifically by searching Jigsaw Boxes) taken hostage (being tunneled with an active RBT). This while an active RBT keeps them preoccupied from doing generators or any other function.
Here's what I propose to even the playing field:
- A RBT's timer activates after a generator pop or following an unhook. This will allow the killer more versatility in choosing when it is a favorable situation to use a RBT.
- RBTs can no longer be placed on a survivor during End Game Collapse, due to the first proposed change. It would not allow a fair amount of time for an unhooked survivor to search a Jigsaw Box (JB from here on out).
- The Pig currently has the ability to hold a survivor with an active RBT hostage at JBs; this is an unfair feature that needs to go. The Entity blocks generators, windows, and soon pallets. To counter this issue, the Entity should also 'block' survivors actively searching a JB, preventing them from being interacted with. On top of this, survivors who are actively searching a JB should not have their auras revealed.
- Progress made searching a JB should be kept, and not needed to be restarted when interrupted. There are already skill checks and add-ons that increase the time it takes to search a JB, making this also an unfair aspect of JBs. Especially if proposed change #3 is not implemented.
