About survivors who are mid-vaulting...
Why are they not affected when they are shocked by Doctor or shot by Deathslinger? The latter is particularly confusing.
You can shoot someone the moment they start vaulting and they will go through the entire vault animation with a harpoon stuck in their back, (that magically teleports to their front somehow), and only after they are done vaulting will they suddenly be affected by the backwards force of the Deathslinger reeling them in.
It looks really goofy and makes both of these killers, especially DS, seem very non-threatening.
Why don't the survivors have their vaulting animations interrupted when hit?

I think it'll look more goofy if you vault the window and still stay on the same side (as was the case with doctor).
Doctor's ability to block vaults has always been really buggy though. Especially when latency is involved.
Many times I've shocked someone and they continue vaulting like they didn't just receive a shock of a couple dozen volts. And other times they'll have their vault canceled.
It would make far more sense of the survivor to stay on the same side of the window because in both killer's cases their should not have let the survivor finish the vault.
It's probably for simplicity. It would take effort to code unique animations for these instances, so they left it as is.
God knows this game needs more effort put into it.
Always did find it odd when Deathslinger shot survivors from behind, then suddenly struggling with them facing Deathslinger with the harpoon in their chest 🥴
well to put more effort into it they first need to put effort into it to begin with
I think dbd started out as being developed by a team of genuinely passionate people. But their vision of the game has drastically changed since the game's inception.
