Shrine of Secrets rework concept.
I believe the shrine could be reworked to address several issues in a decent way.
Currently, we have 66 survivor teachables, and 60 killer, with more added every chapter. 2 of each per week makes for a very long wait for specific perks to show up, even longer since the process is random so some perks just don't show up anywhere near as often as they should. This has gotten worse with every single chapter as there's more clutter to the system.
The other issue I see is that perk builds are incredibly dry at the moment. Survivors constantly run as many second-chance perks as possible, while killers almost all have similar stalling perks.
So my concept is this;
Each week there is a survivor shrine and a killer shrine, with 4 perks each. These perks are obtainable the same way they are currently on the shrine.
Each week, the 8 perks are granted a 25% bloodpoint bonus to your total score, like an additional bloodpoint offering. This stacks, allowing a potential 100% bonus for using all 4 perks on the shrine at once.
This would mean there would be a constant motivation to use perks that are outside of the meta, or comfort picks. Weekly cycling would keep it fresh. It would give players choice to go all out with weird builds and score much more highly, or just substitute one or two things for a minor benefit. Importantly, it allows people to feel like they can use strange or worse perks with less drawback, as you would need to perform less perfectly to gain a similar reward from the match.
As an alternative, perks could be broken into categories based on the 4 scoring categories. For example exhaustion perks would all be considered "evader" perks, debuffs like the third seal would be considered "deviousness" perks, etc. Each shrine rotation would contain 1 perk from each of the 4 categories for survivor and killer, and each would grant 100% bonus to that category. Similarly, using all 4 would effectively grant you double points, the big difference would be more reliable builds on each shrine, as you wouldn't get a lot of perks directed at the same benefits.
