Will public matches be matched with players from different platforms?

if console survivors and pc killers (or vice versa) get matches together it wouldn’t be very fair and it would be a complete advantage for one side.

steam and Microsoft store would be balanced

ps4 and Xbox would also be balanced

but console and pc don’t mix together, it would be a massive advantage for one side. So what’s going to happen about that?

    They've said there'll be an option to opt out if you want.

    From what I've read so far, we will either be able to opt out of crossplay entirely or all go into the big 'ol pool. I do not believe there will be an option for just consoles to combine unfortunately.

    When crossplay is added, everyone gets matched together. If you don't want that, that's perfectly fine and we understand, so you'll be able to opt out of crossplay through an option in the settings.

    also will there be an option to just match console with console and pc with pc without having to combine both?

    You shouldn't notice anything other than matchmaking time if you play killer.

    However, if you play as survivor, you may notice some killers are way stronger than what you usually meet.

    I think it's all or nothing, but it doesn't really matter in a game like this
