can someone explain the event mechanics a lil better to me?

so the entity spawns 2 crowns by default... do the 4th year cakes create more by any chance? because it isin't a listed effect, yet the old chinese new year event one had a similar effect. also as noted by others and the devs they don't appear to be granting double bp for all.

also had matches spawn with no crowns at all so far.

really hoping the offerings allow for more crowns as two crowns can be shockingly small for survivor, as killer its a bit easier since as soon as you get to one you've got the cosmetic, bit harder on those without movement abilities or at 110% but with survivor, it seems the best bet is to run sprintburst at the start of the match to find a crown/get to one before others and then hopefully (hopefully) survive. or run a 4man swf to farm crowns and hope the killer doesn't get to them first? idk really was hoping for a 7 possible scenario where they could be lost on hooks and regained by others/taken by the killer as that seemed ironically more fair (though i could be very wrong about this whole event off the get go which is why im asking for explainations/help with this as im very very confused)

    I didn't have a single event Offering for my last match, and 3 people had the glow.

    Whatever increases the amount, i don't think the Offerings have any effect.

    This is what I've figured out so far:

    • A pedestal spawns somewhere on the map.
    • If a survivor gets the crown, the pedestal despawns and reappears elsewhere on the map.
    • If the pedestal stays there for too long without anyone interacting with it, it will despawn and reappear elsewhere on the map.

    Offerings don't seem to affect the pedestals.

    Ah so its a singular pedestal then?

    Figures that the offering doesn't affect it as its not listed as an effect, but the fact that they move around is actually a really good gameplay mechanic! if ones not being interacted with it means its likely in a difficult position so it moves either to a more active place, or one thats different which may or may not mean it will be easier to find.

    survivors interacting with it and then it reappearing somewhere else means it can likely be gained by all 4 survivors! does the killer just delete it however upon finding it? or does it reappear upon the killer despawning it.

    I'm pretty sure i found mine as the 2nd or 1st, and i was Killer.

    I guided a Claudette to a Crown.

    There are definitely multiple pedestals per match.

    Seen both a killer and survivor glowing at the same time.

    I've seen someone say that after each completed generator 1 crown appears and that has pretty much been my experience as well.

    Either that or I got really lucky finding them.

    I have 1 for Kate and 1 for Meg.

    Playing licensed characters or characters with the crown already unlocked won't give you another crown (for a different character). I checked every survivor after I escaped with Cheryl while having the crown.


    Edit: I was wrong on the condition the crown spawns. Check the PSA that's pinned
