Consistency travesty.
My thoughts on the new consistency mentality has always been something that I have a voiced negatives thoughts about.
Now I can understand the reason for consistency a good example of this would have been old tinkerer.
Due to how it impacts the various different killers in different ways with their different add-ons it became very difficult to work with especially when the newer Killers like Amanda weren't getting benefits despite hitting the criteria with her add-ons.
So at least on a fundamental level I can understand the push to have everything more consistent the problem is when you you have aspects that are just not comparable so the consistency doesn't really work with them.
A good example of this will be legion and feral frenzy as an offensive power it is just not comparable to the other abilities offensive abilities.
Comparing something like feral frenzy and huntress' hatchet is going to get you laughed out of the room.
The problem is when the same perk restrictions apply to these powers huntress' hatchets not triggering certain perks is understandable it's a range based ability that is incredibly lethal however when compared to feral frenzy which is a close range ability with no lethality it's not triggering similar perks doesn't really make sense. ( The idea of them both being killer powers so paint them with the same brush doesn't really work here)
Now yes there are powers that are comparable to each other for example
Billy and Bubba
Ghostface and Myers
Amanda and demogorgon
Now even though these powers work differently yet there are similar enough that if you want to paint them with the same brush you could without completely ruining The killer's potential.
Shred and Ambush for example
Well they both have their advantages and disadvantages that makes them work differently their core backbones are similar enough that the changes you do to one can apply to another without completely destroying the balance.
I feel like I need to be a decent rework to the power system so it's a lot easier to categorise different abilities and how the different categories will effect perks.
The basic vs power split doesn't pan well
