new to the forum, so not sure if this has been mentioned
okay so ive been playing this game almost since release, granted ive taken the last couple months off due to other games having my attention. i started playing again a few days ago and i just have to say im incredibly disappointed in the matchmaking. im level 20 as killer, but somehow im being matched with rank 3 and higher for about 95% of my matches. so i need to know if the devs are working on a better matchmaking process or what.

They're working on an MMR system. They said in a stream recently that they have been doing random tests on some matches. Idk if it's disabled or something, but maybe you were in some testing groups? Aside from that they said that, in order to minimize wait times, if someone disconnects during the load screen, sometimes it'll grab whoever is ready to make fill the slot. It may not be working as intended.
It's definitely been mentioned - multiple times daily, in fact. As stated above, there are some issues present in the current matchmaking system, but there is a replacement in the works.
