Matchmaking Rework
I decided to write down some of my ideas on fixing matchmaking.
1) Bloodpoint compensation
Whenever a match is horribly one-sided, like 4 rank 1 against a rank 10 killer and vice-versa, a bloodpoint multiplier will be applied post-game scaled to how mismatched the game was. Likewise, when you are the one doing the stomping on a low ranked player, your bloodpoints will be reduced by the inverse multiplier.
I think this could be a solution to the current lack of high-ranked killers. Right now, low rank killers are getting stomped by high-rank survivors left and right. BHVR could have at any point enforced a stricter matchmaking protocol forbidding players of wildly different skill levels to be grouped together via the matchmaking system. I do not know why BHVR has decided not to implement this very simple fix, i can only guess it's to keep queue times relatively short compared to how they would be with stricter matchmaking protocols.
The game is bleeding Killer players, and the status quo cannot be sustained long-term without damage to the bottom line.
2) Beyond Rank 1
To keep top players engaged beyond achieving Rank 1, a new ladder will be introduced that Ranks players in real time based on how many pips above Rank 1 you currently posses.
For example, say you're already at Rank 1 and you double pip, that would make you a Rank 1 (+2), and earn you a place in the global leaderboards, with the player with the highest amount of pips being Ranked at the top, and those who have just entered beyond rank 1 at the bottom.
This system increases the achievement ceiling without interfering with lower ranked players.
3) New SWF protocols
A group of 4 survivors who are in communication with each other is currently the highest tiered technique of play at the moment. I propose a Highest + 1 rule that would return the highest rank of the SWF group, add 1 to offset the communication advantage and enforce matchmaking to return a killer of that rank. For example, say that you are Green rank and you invite a Puple rank friend into a party, the rank of the killer, therefore should be at red rank. It should follow, then, that if a SWF comprising of a brown and a green rank should return a purple ranked killer at minimum.
This will inevitably lead to higher queue times, but it's a solution to consider.

1. This would lead to less survivors playing survivor (if that happens a lot). Then it would result in higher waiting times.
2. What would be the point of that?
3. And this was kinda how it was supposed to work. (Highest member's rank gets priority)
There's already too many people playing survivor and not enough playing killer. The queue times for survivors are long because the game requires a killer to be in a lobby first, not because there's an shortage of survivors.
Also, your reply doesn't really bring anything the discussion at hand. I wonder if you just typed this to inflate your post numbers.
Dependable. And i was saying it would result in higher waiting times for killers. Less survivors would play survivor or would swap to killer. (if they care about bloodpoints)
I'm sure most killers would prefer a non-instant queue time in exchange for a match that doesn't lead to them getting stomped by red ranks when they themselves are green ranks.
Again, im just going by your 1st point "Bloodpoint compensation" aka IF those matches did happen (and they do and will until they finish their hidden mmr thingy) that survivors (because its mostly happening on that side) would get less bp while killers would get more.
That's the general idea, yes. To get high ranking players to switch sides when matchmaking favors them.
