Perk ideas for upcoming chapters.
These are just some ideas for next perks that I would want for the next chapters. All of these perks are based on the Broken status effect because of how many few perks cause it.
For survivor:
Stealth Queen:
You are affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial. You know how to hide instantly.
- You don't leave pools of blood.
- You don't leave scratch marks when you run.
- Grunts of pain caused by injuries are reduced by 100% at all times.
- Noises caused by footsteps are reduced by 50/75/100%.
Run for your life:
You are affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial. You know how to run away from danger.
- When walking, your movement speed is increased by 20/25/30%.
- When crouching, your movement speed is increased by 40/50/60%.
- When running, your movement speed is increased by 6/7/8%.
- When standing still, you can see the killer's aura if you are outside the terror radius and are not undetectable until you move or act again.
Give yourself up:
You are affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial. You will give up anything for your friends. When you earn a protection hit score event, the survivor you are protecting is granted 150% movement speed for 4 seconds and is not given the exhausted status effect. Instead, you are given the exhausted status effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
One more chance:
You are affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial. The entity gives you mercy when summoned early. If you reach the struggle phase on the first time you have been hooked, you will not automatically be sacrificed if you are hooked again. Instead, you will leave where you left off previously in the struggle phase. Your hook timer in both hook phases is always 15/20/25% slower.
Escape artist:
You are affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial. You feel weak but you know how to escape situations.
- You have a 100% chance to unhook yourself during the escape attempt.
- Grants the ability to fully recover from the dying state once per trial.
- Your wiggle speed in the killer's grasp is 13/14/15% faster.
- Your struggle effects on the killer are increased by 25%.
I'm always here:
You are affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial. You know how to help friends in need.
- You can see the aura of injured survivors.
- You heal survivors 100% faster at all times.
- Good Skill Checks caused by healing gives a 2% progress bonus.
- Great Skill Checks caused by healing gives a 5% progress bonus.
- Failed Skill Checks caused by healing gives no progress penalty, but still gives your location to the killer.
For killers:
Cripple all hell:
You become obsessed with one survivor who is not Broken. Each time you hit your obsession with a basic attack, you gain a token. After gaining 5/4/3 tokens, the obsession is affected by the Broken status effect for the rest of the trial. When the obsession is affected by the Broken status effect only if permanently, or if your obsession is killed or sacrificed, you lose all tokens and you become obsessed with another survivor who is not already affected by the Broken status effect.
The killer can only be obsessed with one survivor at a time.
Hex: Pure Evil:
You hurt all the survivors without touching them but not without penalties towards you.
- All survivors are affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial.
- All survivors are given a 20% Haste status effect for the duration of the trial.
- All survivors repair 12/11/10% faster.
- Removes the ability to gain bloodlust.
If the relating hex totem is cleansed, all survivors become healthy again.
The Hex effect persists as long as the relating hex totem is standing.
Contagious Weakening:
You become obsessed with one survivor. The obsession starts the trial injured, but not Broken. The obsession is not able to heal themselves under any circumstances. They can only be healed by other survivors. The obsession has 90/85/80 seconds to be healed. If they are not healed within that time, they will be affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial and you become obsessed with another survivor. If they are healed within that time, the person that healed them becomes injured if they are not already and becomes the new obsession.
The timer pauses if the survivor is starting to be healed, but it will continue again if the healing stops.
The killer can only be obsessed with one survivor at a time.
Unknown infection:
You know how to slowly infect everyone. The perk has a timer of 180/190/200 seconds from the start of the trial. One random survivor is chosen to be the contagion at the start of the trial. If the chosen survivor is involved in an action shared with other survivors, such as repairing and healing, that survivor passes it on to all the survivors involved. After the perk timer runs out, the perk deactivates for the duration of the trial and all of the survivors who interacted with any infected survivors, as well as the starting survivor with the infection, become injured and are all affected by the Broken status effect for the duration of the trial.
The survivor starting with the infection and all the other survivors do not know if they are infected or not. You also do not know who the infected survivors are.
These are just my ideas of some perks that cause the Broken effect. Sorry the names sound so unofficial, But I can be bad at naming things. Hope one or two of these perks come into the game :).

Okay imma just say few things and ask few things:
very bad ideas
1 survivor perk has everything 4 perks have together
killer perks are trash
why are you so obsessed with broken for the the entire trial?
There is only one perk that causes permanent broken so i thought "hey, why not make a few ideas about it" plus i also put a warning at the top saying that all of the perks are based on Broken.
Hex: Pure Evil is basically a choice between, "we can be one shot for the entire trial and be a little faster than the killer, with increased repair. Or we can be two shot again." Thats what i mean.
Stealth Queen is just a better version of No Mither. A far, far better version that I honestly don't think would be healthy for the game.
Run For Your Life is ludicrously good especially when combined with Stealth Queen. +8% sprint speed for the entire Trial is legitimately insane, it makes it nearly impossible for 110 killers to catch up with you and if it stacked with Hope you'd actually run faster than Killers at the end of the Trial. Oh, and let's just give Survivors a slightly weaker version of Object of Obsession for equipping this, too!
I would actually be okay with Give Yourself Up IF you just ditched the Broken stuff and just made it an affect that procs when you get a Protection Hit score event and are downed by the protection hit.
One More Chance is insanely bad, most Survivor teams will never leave you to dry on a hook, especially if they have 15 more seconds of leeway to leave you hanging than usual, and the moment your Survivor teammate does their job and prevents you from advancing a hook state, you aren't JUST carrying a dead perk, you're carrying a Perk that's making your match worse than if you didn't equip it at all.
Escape Artist is just badly designed, perks like Deliverance and Unbreakable are good Perks because they can catch Killers by surprise and Killers gamble with them. Broken Survivors have a giant "I'm running a weird perk" target on their backs.
I'm Always Here is way too strong even as a standalone Perk not taking into account the others here- Though, if everyone ran Broken 24/7 as the meta this would rapidly become pretty damn useless.
Cripple All Hell is crazy overpowered because Nemesis can easily be used to switch the Obsession and hit a random Survivor with a surprise permanent Broken status effect for the rest of the Trial. Even if you insert "lose all tokens if the obsession changes", being able to inflict perma-Broken for the rest of the trial this easily is a serious problem, at least it would be in a meta that didn't have Survivors constantly running Broken builds. (Plus, permanent broken applications are IMO just a thing we should probably avoid on Killer perks/abilities. Survivors should be able to bring healing setups without feeling useless)
Hex: Pure Evil is REALLY bad. "Survivors run at +20% movement speed" nope nope nope nope nope. Sure, I can oneshot them all, I can oneshot them all if I bring Devour Hope, NOED or play a Killer who can oneshot Survivors as part of their kit. I can't oneshot them all if they all run faster than me even without Exhaustion perks, pallets, and windows being taken into the equation.
Contagious Weakening has too many means for Killer exploitation IMO, the prime objection being using hooks to delay Survivor heals and basic means to split up and delay Survivors (that means you, Legion/Doctor mains). Too much potential for abuse, not enough potential for fun IMO.
Unknown Infection is, just... Dude, why don't you just play Plague? Not JUST because this one already conflicts with Plague's design space and theming a lot and is just a generally confusing Perk, but also because you could learn quite nicely from playing Plague why you're overrating the Broken Status Effect and how dangerous it is for Survivors/how valuable it is for Killers.
@Lexilogo
Okay, thats great feedback, now that i look back at this, there are a lot of perks that are insanely OP, especially on the survivor side. But the reason I did these ideas were because there's only one perk that causes permanent Broken. Thats why every single one of these perks have that effect, because there is only a few that cause it. Btw Pure Evil was meant to be a choice perk saying be a one shot forever, but be faster in speed and repair or go back to normal. But now that i think about it, they can just cleanse it after gates. So yeah, it is bad. I wanted to make sure that Contagious Weakening had a very long timer, because it shouldnt be like if you dont heal at the very start, it would be OP. I tried to make it so that by the time all timers run out for each survivor, the gates are already open. But, yeah a lot of these are OP, which is why I tried to make it so that no matter what, you are always a one-shot, but yeah, it is really broken. But thank you for the feedback!
