SWF progression (possibly controversial suggestion)
I have an idea to change SWFs. the idea I present does nothing about mechanics in-game of SWFs, but encourages team play without worsening the killer experience (I hope).
My idea is about bloodpoint gain. Individuals that is part of a SWF team will get less bloodpoints earned through actions, but the rewards will be shared with all SWFs members (the bloodpoints penalty will be lessened with smaller parties, but team bonuses will also be lessened
For example, say someone is part of a 4 man SWF group, If they get a score event that would otherwise give them 1,000 bps, they individually will instead get 250 bps. Sounds bad so far, but don't worry. Say if everyone in the team that otherwise gets 1,000 bps also gets 250 bps, that means everyone part of the team will all get 1,000 bps.
The bloodpoint cap will be increased, but not by 4x for a 4 man group, For each member of the group, will raise the cap by .25x. For a 4-man, they will get the normal bps cap, along with another normal cap on top of it (essentially 2x the cap raise) this is so SWFs don't get hundreds of thousands of points in one match.
But here is the thing. an individual in a 4-man group can ONLY earn 25% of the total contribution towards bloodpoints. If they get otherwise maximum points for all categories, they will now individually contribute to 4,000 bps for the total in ALL categories, but if EVERYONE in the team gets 4,000 points in all categories, that means EVERYONE in the team will all get the absolute maximum points of 64,000.
This idea is to encourage variety for both survivors and killers. This will make it so SWFs can't just assign 3-2 survivors work on gens, while 1-2 survivors get chased by the killer (you can still do it, but you will not get much bps). If you and your team want the most points, your team must do a variety of things than just one thing, which (at least I think) is much more interesting and fun than just holding M1, or holding W for all of the match.
Please tell me what you guys think of this. I said that this might be controversial, because you guys know how the community reacts to overhauls. Please tell me how you would improve this concept to make it better and more fun (or tell me what I need to elaborate on if you don't get something). Otherwise have an amazing day!
