Changes to Monitor & Abuse, Shadowborn, Aftercare and We're Gonna Live Forever
Each this perk feels very nice. Terror manipulation, Extra FoV, Unlimited Auras Range and Double Bloodpoints - all of them are so sweety. But objectively these perks are underwhelming or not as strong as they should. What issues do they have:
- Monitor & Abuse: very good perk, but constantly changing Field of View is not comfortable.
- Shadowborn: makes the game expirience way better, but really it doesn't give any real gameply benefit.
- Aftercare: nice information, but very fickle and unstable because all its effects are reset when being hooked.
- We're Gonna Live Forever. Double Bloodpoints is always amazing, but you pay for them the entire perk slot, and only for bloodpoints.
My suggestions to improve these perks:
MONITOR & ABUSE
- Field of View bonus is permanent and set at 10/12/15 degrees
- Reduces Terror Radius by 8 meters when outside of chase. Increases Terror Radius by 8 meters while chasing.
Combining Terror Radius manipulation with constant effect of old Shadowborn would make the perk really really decent.
SHADOWBORN (complete rework)
- Enhances your perception. Now you can percieve the Entity's Red Glow which can be seen behind All Survivors (similar to how the Doctor sees Survivors afflicted by Discipline)
- Looking at the direction of a Generator for 4/3.5/3 seconds Shadowborn will reveal its progress through the intensity of the Generator's Aura. This effect persists as long as you still look at the Generator's direction
- Progression only of 1 Generator may be revealed by this perk at the same time
A nice counter to Blendettes hiiding in cornfield. Not too strong tool to determine the repair progress of some Generators.
AFTERCARE
- After you earn Safe Hook Rescue score event or complete healing on other Survivor, Aftercare will reveal the Survivor's Aura for the rest of the match
- Aftercare may reveal all 3 other Survivors' Auras
- Allies revealed by this perk also percieve your own Aura
- When safely unhook or complete healing on other Survivor, gain a token (up to 1/2/3 tokens). Each token grants 33% bonus to all Bloodpoint gains. The bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post trial.
Make the perk a bit more challenging (it will no longer reveal Auras when you get unhooked or healed). And no, this perk will not give you more Bloodpoints than Barbecue and Chilli, because Killers almost always get more bloodpoints in general.
WE'RE GONNA LIVE FOREVER
When protecting injured Survivor from being downed by the Killer, both you and the protected Survivor break into on-hit sprint.
- If you are healthy, after that you will suffer from the considerable Mangled Status Effect until fully healed
- If you are injured and afflicted by the Broken Status Effect, after that you will not be downed. Instead of it you will get Deep Wound Status Effect. The Endurance Status Effect when protecting your friend in this scenario may be triggered only once
- You will have 10/12/15 seconds to mend yourself
- We're Gonna Live Forever has a cooldown of 180 seconds
This version will have synergy with the No Mither and For The People perks. And yeah, it will be true perk about defending your friends.
Comments
4/3.5/3 seconds Shadowborn will reveal its progress through the intensity of the Generator's Aura. This effect persists as long as you still look at the Generator's direction. Progression only of 1 Generator may be revealed by this perk at the same timeThis would become possibly the best tool at locating survivors. (or atleast general idea where they are) This would have to have some sort of cooldown or something.
And
we're gonna live forever... Why such a big cooldown?I like the Shadowborn change. Makes it not a worthless perk anymore.
Aftercare doesn't need the nerf. It's hard enough getting the tokens but keeping them is a whole other story. I like Aftercare as is.
I like Were Gonna Live Forever as it is now though... the bonus BPs encourage you to help your allies, which is something solo survivors need more incentive to do.
