Why are some Hexs insidious and some arent?

Noed is insidious until you get smacked and Devour hope is the same yet Ruin gives you a big old warning on the side of your screen. I know people would be able to tell but if they really wanna follow the "new survivors wouldn't know whats going on" might wanna make it a insidious hex then.

  • The Hex is revealed once it starts affecting the survivors. You don't get a notification from NOED or Devour Hope until they first affect the survivors with an instadown. You shouldn't get a notification from Ruin until you start working on a gen.

its not affecting the survivors though it affects the gens?

  • It affects the survivors once they touch the gens. Before they start working, nothing can regress.

yes but you said it notifies survivors when it affects them themselves yet new ruin doesnt it affects the gens regression rate not the survivors. Old ruin affected survivors skill checks aka affected them themselves the new one doesnt.

  • -_-

It affects the survivor's gameplay by regressing the gens... It becomes a hindrance once they start working on gens...

you dont see the point that it should be insidious because it doesn't affect the survivors themselves. Think about other things that apply the exposed status effect like iron maiden which right when you exit the locker your exposed. Devour hope and Noed dont notify you right away when the oneshot becomes active like other stuff that applies the exposed status effect.

  • No, I get the point that you're trying to make, but it doesn't work.

The hex affects the survivors by regressing the generators that they're working on. Yes, it regresses the generators, but that regression affects the survivors. Therefore, it affects the survivors by regressing the generators...

and like i said about other things that give you the exposed status effect like iron maiden which instantly tell you when your exposed yet devour hope and noed don't? whats the difference between these two they both give you the exposed status effect affecting you the survivor.

  • Because hexes work differently than Exposure perks...

you just said if it affects- whatever...

  • Just gonna roll my eyes and move on from this one.

even you should know it makes no logical sense that perks like iron maiden tell you when your exposed yet noed doesnt even though it exposes you just like ironmaiden its not like it activates on you right when your hit...
