Create an "Opening hatch" animation.
It's frustrating that survivors can escape in your face and there's nothing you can do about it and nothing to counter it.
Make the survivor spend, I don't know, at least 3-4 seconds opening the hatch and THEN jump in. Enough time so that you can interrupt him with a hit and down him. He shoudln't be able to escape mid-chase in your face.
