Why are players allowed to play with a 300+ ping?

Just got chainsawed around 2 corners at a loop from a billy, he hit me 3 times through a pallet without getting stunned. That is really frustraiting and not fair at all. Why dafuq are ppl like these able to play this game? I would personally let them not que until they have a certain amount of ping where they are not a problem for other players.

  • I don't know any online that punishes you for a high ping. Dead by Daylight shouldn't either. An unstable ping gets punbished in some games, though.

  • There should be an indicator on the lobby if there is high ping (maybe is just on PTB yet) to warn you before the match starts.

You can only see your own personal ping. The OP is talking about the killers ping while they're survivor.

They could do it like every online game that has been released this century: Press a key to open a playlist, where it shows names, score, and ping of everyone. This would make things so much easier, and is only minimnal coding effort.

  • Quote from 3.6.0 PTB patch notes:

"Content - Added a high-ping indicator to the HUD, displayed when the local ping to the server is above a certain threshold (white icon for 150ms, red icon for 300ms)."

    That's what I was saying.
