This game needs a huge aesthetic overhaul

At least in my opinion.

But not with the art style, no, but rather the choice of assets and maps.

There is a ton of ♥♥♥♥ that's just there, for no reason. Why are there these L T walls and Jungle Gyms made of wood panels? Why do they have windows and pallets? Why is their random piles of trash in a place called Blood Lodge?

The only maps with charm or that structures that make any sense are the Licences Ones and The Swamp and kinda Yamakoa.

I understand that lore plays a role in the maps. The Entity creates a world based on the memories of the killers/survivors but takes it's own twisted spin on reality. This is a cool concept that is totally ignored.

Take Shelter Woods. What if, the tree in the middle of the map was enormous, and you could actually go inside of it; there'd be all the windows and pallets, but just inside a huge tree. And the other structures on the outside of the map would be the roots of the tree.

You could even change the way pallets looks depending on the map. For example, in Shelter Woods the pallets would be logs, in Gas Heaven they could be car hoods or a stack of tires, ect.

As for the wood panels used for L T walls and the such: Stone walls with ancient text in a map like Temple of (Word), the remains of a shed for Cold Wind, ect.

As for the flora, ♥♥♥♥ing abysmal. Oak tree, dead grass, and corn. Only the Swamp and Yamakoa have any kind of different plants

Would this take a lot of time? Yes. Should the devs spend time balancing the game rather than making maps pretty? Yes. But at this point, if they just remove the ranking system, I'll be more than content with that aspect of the game.
