The Pig idea - SAW traps on gens & hooks.

I thought one way of spicing the Pig up would be implementing some SAW themed traps that are uniquely for her.

Generators and Hooks could be fitted with traps which are present only in games where the Pig is the killer.

The traps would be triggered after the survivors fail Saw skill checks, which are basically difficult skill checks.

Remember the way steam was used as a torturous trap in SAW VI?

Generators could be fitted wiith a steam-filled trap. Randomly, the survivor could be faced with a Saw skill check. After failing a Saw skill check, steam could shoot out of the generator side the survivor was working on. This would scold the survivor causing the normal generator failure notification and putting the survivor in to the Deep Wound effect. Survivors have limited time to mend before they are put in to the dying state. Once mended, the survivor goes back to their pre-trap health state. Only the generator side where the survivor failed the Saw skill check emits the steam.

Remember how exploding shrapnel was used in SAW IV?

Hooks could be fitted with shrapnel-filled explosives. The survivor would be subjected to a random Saw skill check when sabotaging the hook. If the survivor fails the Saw skill check, the trap activates and the survivor is showered with shrapnel. The survivor then goes down one health state.

RARE NEW ADD-ONS:

Hoffman's police badge:

Survivors effected by the steam trap have their auras revealed for 10 seconds.

Cecil's prescription:

Increases the frequency of Saw skill checks.

  • The problem instantly here is that while it sounds cool, it would be too op. Pig is already quite a high tier killer, he doesn't need anything that would make him more powerful.

The problem is that this idea wouldn't help the Pig at all. Competent Survivors wouldn't give a hoot about Skill Checks in the same way that they don't care about Overcharge or any of the Pig's add-ons related to Skill Checks.
