Why are unspecific challenges locked behind perk/character related challenges?

Just take a look at Tome 2:

Abusive Treatment (M&A from Doc) -> Mad about it (Madness by TheDoc) -> Dark Adherent (Hook 5 Survivors)

Rancor Rampage (Rancor from Spirit) -> Furious Destruction (Spirit Fury from Spirit) -> Haunting Grasp (Interrupt and grab 1 survivor)

What did you thought by making such a stupid order of the challenges for killers @BHVR ? Dont you mind those people who do not have accessed all characters and perks? The actual Rift is a total disaster as long as you dont let players access all the required stuff in some way for the time being. You just make it far more difficult to progress through the Rift. Its just frustrating. And no, shards arent a "free" solution, cause its far too much grind to get them for 4 characters in that time for something people obviously dont want, if they dont have it.

    They made it so you dont have to do them to continue on in the tomes or to collect lore. There are only so many free survivors and killers, and this time they decided to go with the more interesting ones.

    Also, you can buy the characters with shards. Will you bee grinding your ass off? Absolutely. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get them.
