Ranking system and rank reset.....
All who have played this game for a bit longer should know by now, that the ranking system is not exactly the best thing ever created. In fact it is more a grind then anything else.
I started this game a year ago and in my very first season i already managed to reach rank 1 on both sides within 2-3 weeks and with almost zero effort (was spending also my Bloodpoints on killer, so i only had 1 Perkslot for Survivor which was Selfcare). It was really easy compared to other games i have experienced in the past. I think i dont have to mention that i was absolutly terrible at that time. But still.. rank 1...
Red Ranks and especially Rank 1 should be for the best players on both sides, and not for someone who basicly just installed the game. The skillgap between a good rank1 and a regular Red Rank player as we know them is really really huge. I mean, we are talking here from a goodlike looper who never misses a great skillcheck and knows everything about the game to people who dont even look back once during chase and have no idea how the maps, killers, perks and buildings work. Not even mentioning common strategy or the slightest gamesense. As i said, the gap is really extreme.
The sad part of this is, that as bad as it already is, it will become even worse now.
Who had the brilliant idea to change rank reset to just 1 tier down? I mean, isnt that obvious that this will just make it even more easy to reach red ranks? If you want just one rank pool (which will be red and purple in half a year basicly) then remove rank at all, it makes absolutly no sense.
I really wish, the devs would come up with a more advanced system, like MMR or something, or at least make it very hard to pip, especially on Survivor side...
Please, fix this.
And after that, work on servers and hitboxes :)

TLDR; It is way to easy to rank up and the change of just one tier down after rank reset makes it even worse. Everyone will be in red and purple very soon, and i am tired of playing with people who are clearly not ready for red ranks.

That's been my criticism of it as well.
The unfortunate reality is the player base is too small to fill the current ranking system. Lower ranks are starved of players due to lack of new players and upper ranks are full because it doesn't take much to rank up but a lot to derank down.
