can we at least replace them with character potraits of that specific user? I could use not playing lottery to decide who had a key/ other stuff

They aren't getting rid of ranks in the tally screen. The leak is false.
To find out which user is playing a specific character in-game or after the match you can press start, scroll over to match details and all 4 survivors user names can be identified by character.
But yes a character portraits would be optimal 👍
