Shaking up the meta (No Mither Meta plz >:D)
So.. when ruin gets nerfed, it opens the possibility for toolbox changes like the suggestions i made here:

No this suggestion is not being made as a "you nerfed this thus you must nerf this as revenge"
I am suggesting this because the recent ruin changes allows for these changes to become possible. And i think it would be better for the game.
Anyway... Hello all, Dirty Survivor Main here!
Here is my idea to change toolboxes!
Instead of toolboxes giving a flat bonus to repair speed, they will instead increase the likelihood of receiving skill checks. Since the ruin changes, skill checks are not affected, and thus increasing generator skill checks will always be a good thing. Toolboxes also now require a bit more effort from the survivor to actually get a gen speed bonus. Right now toolboxes require no skill or thought from the survivor (Which is something the devs mentioned in the Design notes about ruin).
Increasing the amount of skill checks will also be a few other things:
1) It indirectly slows down the total gen progress since it is unlikely that a survivor will hit great skill checks 100% of the time.
2) It acts as a pseudo Hex:Ruin in the sense that survivors are still required to hit great skill checks, however it doesnt punish new players or players that cant hit great skill checks. These new toolboxes would probably not be seen as frustrating since it rewards the survivors instead of punishing them. Kinda like how WoW's "Well Rested" bonus acts.
Addons:
All speed addons will now instead further increase the likelihood of skill checks appearing.
All skill check success zone addons will instead increase the size of great skill check zones ONLY. By a small amount.
Brand New Part: Renamed to "Strange Components" These components are strange and other worldly. Surely they wouldnt fit into an generator? You can no longer score good skill checks. Hitting a great skill check rewards 2x the usual amount of progress.
Gen Speed Perks:
Prove Thyself: Instead of a flat bonus, Increase the likelihood of skill checks appearing by 10% for all survivors in range. The bloodpoint bonus remains. Does affect the user, and you can only be affected by one Prove Thyself at a time.
Resilience: Increase likelihood of ALL skill check appearing by 10%
Luck: Increases the likelihood of skill checks, and increases great skill check success zones (Slightly).
Another benefit of these changes is that a rather weak Hex perk known as "Huntress Lullaby" is buffed because of the increase of skill checks. Right now lullaby is a VERY weak hex perk and only works vs rank 20s, and is, at best, minor inconvenience to high rank players.
But i just had a thought. If something similar to my ideas were implemented, that would likely cause perks like resilience and This is not happening to see significantly more use. But these perks are only usable while injured, so if these perks become meta, so does No Mither (But to a lesser extent).
Come on guys, just imagine the chaos of a no mither meta. All we need to do is get a bunch of rank 20s to complain to BHVR and they will make the change happen.
