Legion Feedback Post Q&A

So here is my feedback for Legion post the changes made to them.

I understand Mending was put down to 12 seconds to avoid frustration and the chore of standing in one place too long, not as bad as slugging but the point remains.

So with the decision of decreasing Mend to 12 seconds Legion loses his stall ability and you want us to focus on his speed and freedom of movement which is why you rectified your mistake of taking away their speed. The problem with this is that even though you increased the base FF speed and increased the Duration add-ons Legion is still not a speedy Killer who can focus on map traversal and there are 2 reasons why.

1st Reason---Legion can't see scratch marks in FF. I saw someone paraphrase a dev and I'm butchering it lol I think the reason Legion can't see them because it would suck if you were running from Gen to Gen and saw them you could trace them and then begin the spam of DW stabs. Well DW got changed to be more balanced and this is no longer a thing, this reason for not seeing them should be a reason for seeing them; blood too. Spirit would be too strong if she could see blood so she has an add-on but the same can't be said for Legion. If Legion was running around and then saw scratchies that's GOOD. Killer Instinct is a great tracking tool but scratch marks would be great to find in the open and then use FF to follow them to your first target, maybe scratchies get deleted when they get DW instead?

2nd Reason---The stun time is too long. If you want Legion to focus more on being a speedy Killer who moves around the map very fast then they cannot have a 4 second stun, Billy has an insta-down and he doesn't even get that a long stun when he hits a tree. It is not possible to use FF to traverse the map if they get a long stun when they use their power. When Legion was originally released the stun was 3 and then you changed to 4 to make Survivors feel safer from them after all the bad experiences from before it was not necessary and just hurt Legion's potential.

I think changing Legion's design to focus more on being fast and getting around easier is healthier than the DW ability, the nerf to Legion's DW would be ok to deal with if they could use their power to move around easier and not be punished for using it either. If we as players felt that Legion's map traversal was worth more than DW we wouldn't care about the 12 seconds and how crap it is as a stalling mechanic and I think that's the way to go.

DW being tied Borrowed Time was a bad idea from the start, BT was designed to help Survivors and be a last chance to survive, this was never going to be a good power simply because it is either too powerful or too weak depending on the choices you make. This Legion and DW fiasco was bond to end up like this because it never should have happened, BT should never have been weaponized and if Legion's focus isn't shifted and changed to be about speed and map traversal then maybe a rework is better. I'm sure it must be stressful to create Oblivious and Undetectable perks knowing that 1 Killer on your roster will always find a way to exploit it, that's not fair to you and you should have creative freedom without worrying if another character can abuse it.

Legion's best power is speed and Vaulting pallets and windows, if you can find some way for that to be focus instead of stalling then that's perfect.

Here is the scenario, I use FF and hit the first person with my Smiley Button and then hit a 2nd person and exit my FF to down them. I smack that person down and they have the Blindness effect and can't see anyone, I hook them and guess what? That first guy I smacked in FF can SEE THEM because they were way too special to be inflicted with Blindness, it is not proper or useful design to create a pinball Killer and not give them abilities that effect every single person they hit. That first person got DW but why didn't they get Blindness or even Mangled from the other add-on? That person wants to heal right so giving them Mangled would have been a great idea, it makes sense, it's logical that Legion would want everyone to suffer from their ability and not just 1 or 2.

Please make the Pin add-ons good, please make them work ON HIT with Feral Frenzy

Why didn't you just fix the add-ons guys? You said several times in the forums and on a live stream, I think, that you knew to make them ON HIT but instead you made it on anyone detected by Killer Instinct.....you acknowledged the solution and agreed with it yet didn't implement it.

So the speed increase was amazing and has helped out with their lethality a lot. Focusing on speed is nice and feels just like the original Legion we got last year. The problem is that the Pin add-ons are still bad, they only effect everyone after your first strike which is wrong because you will usually down the person you struck 2nd instead of the first and the first person is the one who is completely safe from you and therefore needs the effect of the Pin add-on which creates pressure. Chnage the Pin add-ons to be on every FF hit and they're fixed. The second problem is that by decreasing the Mend time from 15 to 12 you took away Legion's slowdown power, Survivors are distracted for a less amount of time so the effectiveness of the power is lower and you have acknowledged this but I will say the speed increase does not compensate this change.

If Legion isn't a slowdown Killer then what are they?

If Legion can't slow down Survivors with their ability then the focus needs to be on their traversal and speed, the speed is amazing, thank you. Now by getting rid of the disgusting and completely unfair loss of sight from the FF stun you would make it less punishing to use the ability to run around the map. Decreasing the stun time to 3 or 2.5 seconds would make using the FF for traversal would help them in chases as well and thereby being a fair compensation for not being a slowdown Killer.

Balancing is making everything fair and so far the nerfs outweight the buffs all because of several tiny but very important changes to the base-kit. Legion is almost good, they are almost in their perfect spot, no one would care about the Mend time if the power was less punishing to use and was more of a benefit than a problem.

Speed and traversal, this should be the focus.

Sincerely, someone who actually plays Legion.

I already gave my feedback if you couldn't tell by now.

Legion STILL needs the normal 3 second stun they originally had.

The Pin add-ons STILL need to be ON HIT, if you don't understand what that means basically it means when I stab someone with FF they get the effect from the Pin; very simple right?

I'm very sassy in this I know but all my real constructive criticism is in the first thread I linked and hopefully the other 2, I don't remember those, but def the 3rd because of the title. I do hope you guys actually listen to the feedback you say you're looking for this time, that would be great. ''We’ll be watching Legion’s performance after the Deep Wound change and the speed buff they got. We don’t have any plans for the immediate future, we’d like to see what sort of impact this has on gameplay first.'' You guys said this, it's a direct quote so judging from this quote I am under the assumption you guys are looking for feedback, unlike before or all the other times every Legion player has been complaining; thank you for reading.
