Why Oni's Flick is So Important
So there's been a hell of a lot of controversy about Oni's "flick" (the huge turn when ending demon dash), and I kinda wanted to talk about why its so important and such a heated issue.
In retrospect, it does seem like a small issue, and was never intended in the first place. I definitely understand the point of nerfing or limiting it. But the point is that the flick was something that ended chases quickly, wasn't insanely overpowered, and most importantly: WHAT MADE PEOPLE BUY THE KILLER.
If the flick wasn't something that existed on release, then many many many people would be less upset about the Oni. It'd be a "Pretty Good" killer that I think people would be generally happy with. But the flick was the main thing that made people attracted to Oni in the first place, and by heavily restricting it, it's almost feels like your money or shards are robbed. Buying a super fun killer with a great mechanic, and then removing that mechanic AFTER everyone buys the killer is definitely pretty unfair.
Like, imagine ordering a steak at a restaurant, but then being served chicken with steak seasonings on it. Sure, it still might be good, but it's not what you asked for. Then you'll still be asked to pay for the whole price of the steak when you're finished.
But take my words with a grain of salt. The DBD Community isn't happy, will never be happy, and will never be able to agree on anything as long as gameplay exists.

why should a survivor not be able to dodge a one-hit down just because a person spent money on a killer?
If i dodge a move, i dodged a move.
If a person dodges my move, they dodged my move.
I'm not going to ask for a refund just because there's counterplay in my power.
