Adept killer (console's inability to change factored)
So as we all know, adept achievements are unbalanced when talking about survivor vs killer. all a survivor needs to do is escape while the killer needs to double pip. many people have brought up that it should be both double pip or both complete the primary objective. both double piping isn't even possible though thanks to consoles.
Thanks, Consoles.
consoles like PS4, Xbox, and I think Switch have the motto "Why fix it if it's not broken?". this sounds good, but their definition of broken happens to be "you just can't" rather than "way too hard or tedious". essentially, if they found a computer with no screen, but had the charging light light up, they'd say it's fine. if an achievement is possible, then it's locked in. only if it becomes literally impossible can it be changed. this in here lies the problem, as escaping with the perks is possible, so no changing can be done.
The Solution
instead of changing the achievements, (hear me out i'm not requesting reverting back to 4k=double pip) we change the game. when you double pip, you will be prompted with "merciless killer" signifying that you double pipped, good job! the achievements say "Achieve a Merciless Victory with The [Killer name] using only his/her/it's Unique Perks: [Perk 1], [Perk 2] & [Perk 3].". Notice anything? double pip isn't a merciless VICTORY, it's a merciless KILLER. loophole located. just make the code be something like
all survivors eliminated (mori/sacrifice): Merciless victory=true. 2pip requirements met: Merciless Killer=true.
sorry @Peanits you're the only dev I know of (and what's the point of the thread if a dev doesn't see it?) so I must bother you with this.
Comments
I'm about 95% sure that's just a discrepancy with how the achievement text is worded, and Merciless Victory and Merciless Killer are the same thing as far as the game is concerned, which means they're the same thing as far as the achievement is concerned.
It's not possible for them to change the requirements for the achievement, but they can change the requirements for a Merciless Killer ingame. Almo (dev) said that it was something they would like to look into in the future, but it's not a priority for the time being.
oh, ok. thank you for your input. I didn't know they wanna look into it.
