Learning the difference between piping and getting BP, piping guide, DBD RANKING BASES
NOT because you got lots of BP you get to pip, and that's not an bug, piping is MOSTLY based in the amount of activities the game is intended for you to do in a match, making you, in order to rank up, participate in multiple ways for your team! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW MANY BP YOU HAVE! After gettin to a top per activity division you just get more BP and they don't contribute to piping, here...
For both sides:
For Survivor:
- Survival: How much time you survive in the match and if you escape or not, time alive gets maxed at 540 seconds, extra points for escaping and more for escaping uninjured
- Objectives: Completing gens and cleansing totems, powering the exit gates, opening them. All generator repair progress other Survivors make while you are in a chase with a Killer will also contribute a small amount of points towards this emblem.
- Boldness: Getting in the terror radious of the killer, being chased, how much time you got chased, escaping a chase, going in the basement for some amount of time.
- Altruism: Healing, taking a hit for someone, unhooking someone. You loose points in this category when someone gets hooked and for letting someone die, yes, you heard it, you can get them back by unhooking them.
For Killer:
- Deviousness: You win points every second, based on the amount of incomplete Generators remaining on the Map. Ending the Trial with incomplete Generators also grants bonus points towards this Emblem.
- Sacrifice: Hooking survivors and killing survivors, yes, a mori gives you the same points as a sacrifice, just don't do it on second hook by tunneling, that's what takes away your emblem points.
- Brutality: You win points by hurting, interrupting and downing Survivors and you lose them when they get healed or manage to escape your grasp.
- Hunting: You win a few points each time you find a Survivor, and you also win points by winning the chase; the shorter the chase, the higher the points. YOU LOOSE POINTS each second you are within moderate proximity (16 metres) to a hooked Survivor (only applied after 10 seconds) AND each second you are within extreme proximity (8 metres) to a hooked Survivor (only applied after 10 seconds)
So... Wanna pip up...?
Survivor: Stop looping the killer all match and help in other things or, stop doing all the totems and gens by yourself and get chased, heal others, etc.
Killer: No tunneling, no camping, stop the gens from being done, get a 4k, don't mori on second hook by tunneling...
Easy right...?

You can learn how many point you get for specific things in the game manual, I'm not gonna post them cause this would be an even longger post
