If we have too even out killer balance why dont bring the lower tier killers up first?
Its exactly as the title says. Why not bring killers like Pig, Leatherface, and Clown up before bring killers like Spirit down so far? Why don't we make the standard A tier instead of B?

A great question I wish we'd get answers to.
The problem is that lower tier killers arent exactly "weak"
At least,most of them arent.
Gen time is the biggest problem,Imo.
You can face 4 noobs but you can still get gen rushed because it doesnt take much skill to press M1 and the killer cannot be everywhere at once.
As long as they focus gens and you are a killer with no map pressure ,they can easily escape even if chases last no more than 15 seconds.
Add a second objective , and watch killers like Clown,Plague ,Pig...get considerably better.
Asking for nerf is easier, simple as thar
I have an answer, but it's really just a hypothesis.
Dead by Daylight is a product and the important people behind it want profit. I assume most of the playerbase are survivor mains, so keeping the more relevant people happy means more profit. I think this would also explain why the game used to be the way it was.
But again, it's just a hypothesis looking at it from a business perspective. Sad, but probably true.
Because these devs think the only way to balance killers is to completely rework them. They take forever to make changes to just about anything in this game, so perks and killers just sit the way they do.
So, with that in mind, it would probably take 5 years before they're capable of appropriately balancing the killers. The idea that they're nerfing top tier killers so they can balance all the lower tier ones is hilarious. No, they're not. It's EASIER to bring the S/A tier down to B than it is to bring the countless B and below up to A.
Then you may say, okay, maybe now they balance large maps, gen speed, and overall fundamentals. No, they really won't.
The game used to be the way it is, because nobody predicted it's sucess. It was designed as a fun asymmetrical party game you play with friends and have fun with first in mind. And they had to set food into a genre which to be honest hasn't been perfected yet.
A lot of these things are just mistake to be honest, which had to be made to get the game where it is now.
