Hi there from France ! :)

Some friends of mine and I want to play dead by daylight on pc, the same platform. I have bought it on Steam and my friends have the game through the pc game pass.

My question : Can we play the game together on the same platform, that is to say pc?

If not, will that be possible? Because, we're talking here about playing a game on the same platform. Not a big deal i guess.

    I play on pc via Steam. Will that be possible to invite a friend playing on pc too but via the pc game pass by Microsoft ?

    What is interesting for players is the possibility that they play with friends if they want to.

    For right now, no you can't add friends that are playing on another platform (so if you are on Steam you can't invite from the Windows Store and vice versa). This will hopefully become a feature at some point though.

    Thanks for your answer. To me this is something unacceptable as i'm talking about players on PC.

    To the dev team: Are you working hard on finding a solution ?

    We'll be enabling crossplay between the Windows Store version of the game and Steam soon, at which point you'll be able to match against players from both. At first, the friends list will only show players from the platform you're playing on, though, so you won't be able to make a party with your friends on a different platform just yet. This is something that we're working on.

    i think that you did hear that alot but are you guys considering the crossplay between pc and console more now? i really would like to have more players to play against (so matchmaking could even get reduced on waitingtime)


    maybe add an entirely new frirendlist ingame [with a dead by daylight profile] so that you could add friends directly from other platforms to play with each other.


    (if the crossplay would be possible between consoles ... and we would get the "create a DbD profile" would there be a chance then to transfere everything on progress and buyed items / cosmetics onto the other platform then? i would love to buy the game also on PS4 but i just dont want to because i know that i would have to play fresh from the start and i dont want that because my playtime is now over 1.300+ hours)

    I'm afraid that's not the point here. But I agree with you on the fact that cross plateform would be great.

    About your question on progress transfer: unfortunately it's not possible. I have already asked that to the devs.
