BHVR told us many moons ago that Killer bots were coming to the game and that 2v8 was being used to train that data. Until they say otherwise (and they won't, judging by their track record), it's either been scrapped or shelved indefinitely. If they got on that, they might not be so hesitant to add more Abandon scenarios for Killer.

Thanks for the hope kind stranger 😁

  • I postedf this somewhere else, I think you should read it twice.

I think past a certain point if someone wants to leave that bad they usually just want to so they can requeue. What i'm talking about (having to wait, track the toxic trolls down or disconnect) usually results in added uneeded time spent (unearned and undeserved by the survivor team may I add, why is it always people who hid the entire game who are the most visible end game?) and usually makes me want to get off entirely and go play elden ring.

Killers are playing dead by daylight at a harder difficulty and need to have the ability to give up post end game colapse. When i'm doing really good and a survivor DCs (I know I shouldnt) but a part of me feels good. If the survivors win and they see me DC that should make them feel good too, especially since they ALREADY WON.

I have been advocating a 10 second timer before the abandoning option comes available when the requirements are met so it would remove this thing and also prevent situations where someone is staying downed tactically to wait for the killer to do a mistake or pick someone up so they can use a perk to get up and get the others up. I have had few matches where someone leaves as they can and then someone gets up and the match continues and in some of those its not even total loss in the end. I see it currently way too lenient how fast you can use the option.

No this should not be a thing.

Why not? I feel as though you should be more specific as this issue is my biggest and only real problem with the game. For you to come in and say "No" with no valid argument against it is kinda silly.

I feel like your understanding of how DBD works is very optimistic: unfortunately it does not match the majority of my experiences with the game. About 75% of my games as Killer can be broken down to a) I catch a Survivor because they brought no info perks or they make a mistake and they give up by disconnecting or refusing to engage with the trial, ruining the match for everyone else, or b) horrible map and loop RNG, me being stupid enough not to play the sweatiest, nastiest Killers and builds I can think of, being matched against Survivors with as many as 4 times my hours who have decided to bring the most busted builds possible (with or without SWF buddies in their Twitch stream), or some combination of all of the above, means I lose control of the match pretty much immediately and have no way of asserting control or even "improving" since I'm hopelessly outgunned from the get-go. The remainder are games which were challenging and I do win, but most of those are utterly miserable examples of me resorting to the kind of tactics Survivors hate a(nd I'm not fond of either) because the Survivors leave me no other options.

Your viewpoint makes a number of assumptions I can't recognise: namely that these matches are opportunities for development and not a waste of everyone's time, and that I'm not already as good as I can get at Killer without grinding DBD exclusively, which I wouldn't even want to do if my matches are going to be this much of a horrible, pointless slog. The game already accepts that some Trials become irredeemable for Survivors and offers them an easy way out, so if the Killer can't straight-up concede from the menu, just let them open the exit gates and walk out of there themselves.

This, I do not ENJOY playing nurse and blight. Constantly winning is not my goal, and is not fun! I like the struggle. When I intentially play a difficult killer only to get crimed (think non concentual friendship affection involving my pooper) the entire game and helt hostage. I have no energy anymore, I've been drained and getting a kill DOES NOT MAKE ME FEEL BETTER. Moving on does, but if I dc I get INCREASINGLY longer queue bans. Which makes me contemplate finding those people Irl although I never would. It's not their fault this game loves suffering and causing suffering.

Survivors don't really get the dopamine hit from finishing the gens, but rather when they walk out of the door. If you take that away from survivors, where do they get their "hit" from?

Then they should exit the gate and get their hit. I should be able to have a bot take my place for that… But it's not about the exit gate for some people is it? They want the feeling when they narrowly get a pallet stun avoiding a hit, when they know the killer is frustrated. That is the definition of toxic.

Same can be said about having abandon for mori when one side can skip these 8 seconds why other one cant skip the 6-12 second window or even little longer forcing someone from gate is dependent on more things like how many survivors are alive, perks like dead hard.

Its just doble standart one side can skip the short end while other cant, like it or not its just fact not all killers have blood warden build in basekit like twins.

THIS. Why can they skip my small cut scene but I can't skip the entire end game collapse where they're hiding and holding the game hostage.

  • I've been playing for a bit now, I've never really had an issue with anything that major. This is the single worst part of the game and it makes me consider not nice things. Please just add the ability for killers to abandon post exit gate being opened.
