If the Killer did not have eyes, perhaps it would.
At least OTR gave you a hit tank prior, now all the Killer needs to do is ride your ass for ten seconds and then down you.
There were better ways to fix the abusability of the perk. I don't understand why the pushed this and Tenacity to live when the Anti-Tunnel/Slug update was delayed.
Name a better way to fix the abusability of the perk. How do you give a survivor endurance without allowing them to use that endurance to take a protection hit?

Are you kidding? Being healed while the killer is busy spreading pressure isn't rare at all.
Is it happening three times a game common?
Seriously, keep track for the week. Play survivor and see what percentage of your matches you get knocked down, then healed, then knocked down, then healed, then knocked down again.
Also, please note that even in the rare cases where that does happen, you don't have to abandon. Is it a situation where the killer is refusing to hook and knocking you down to be toxic, or is it a situation where it's legitimately part of the back and forth play of the game?
-
OTR was a side grade. You lost endurance, but gained leaving no scratch marks. This is less abusable now, but still protects you from tunneling.
The Tenacity changes make no sense, however, because they obviously were being made due to the base kit changes that are no longer being added.

Added a new scenario to the Abandon option: After recovering or being healed from the Dying State twice, the option to Abandon becomes available the next time you are downed. So what: if you are downed and healed three times you can abandon the game?
Seriously?
Am I missing something or did they make solo-queue worse?
How often are you being picked up multiple times in a match? Why do you think this makes solo queue worse?
I can think of twice when I would have been able to use this, and both times the killer was slugging for the 4K and when they were away the other survivor would come stand me up and then run and hide again. The killer would come back, knock me down, and go looking for the other survivor again.
This is going to come up borderline never, and there's no reason to panic about it.
-
Counterpoint: I can run it with Plot Twist and shut off Corrupt Intervention the moment the match starts.

You're sad that you'll actually get to play the game you logged onto to play?

To be completely fair though, both of these scenarios literally involved the person ragequitting.
As in, you can give feedback that the game should expand the Abandon function to these scenarios, but both of these people literally ragequit, and Go Next correctly identified that they ragequit.
Not the second example. They were literally attempting to get off the hook to salvage the game, since nobody was coming for them otherwise.

"I think Ghoul should be even stronger" is not a bug.

I have no idea why it doesn't work this way. It's so frustrating to be denied info for no reason when using deja vu.

I just gave you a reasoning why it wasn't actually that big of a deal..
So I assume you would support an update of the game that made it so when a generator got finished, all survivors working on it turned invisible and left no scratch marks for 5 seconds.
After all, you know they finished that gen so you know where they are. Why are the specific details of their location important?
-
Just wait until you try to get the Hand Eye Coordination achievement. You have to face a certain killer, and get a 5% lucky roll, and escape. So dumb.
-
This community never ceases to amaze me. How can somebody unironically argue "the killer is literally invisible" isn't a big deal?

They just want us to keep playing more. I kind of liked not having to log in every day to complete the rift. I was hoping to take a step back from this game, especially with the return of the go-next prevention, but now I fear I won't be able to.
And that, sadly, is exactly the result they were hoping for.

Absolutely miserable. Fog Vials really are the straw that broke the camel's back.
Killer players complain constantly about medkits and toolboxes, and then when something else is introduced killers complain about it.
Literally nothing will make y'all happy short of basekit No Mither. -
If you had that many stockpiled you obviously weren't using them, so they were worthless.

I can understand the rationale behind not having voice chat (impossible to police/punish all the chat abuse), but it seems like a double-standard when there is apparently no punishment for post-game text chat abuse. Iβve reported people many times for death wishes, threats, slurs, etc and as far as I know, no action has ever been taken.
I think it's less a double standard and more a "we can't even police text, so voice would be an absolute nightmare".
Also, even setting aside abuse, the logistics in some regions would be insane. Like, sure, the majority (but not all) of players in North America would speak English and be able to communicate, but can you imagine being a Spaniard in solo queue trying to communicate with a French person, an Italian, and a German? -
I personally get enough horrific slurs and abuse thrown at me in text form, thank you very much. I don't need to hear them too.
-
This seems fun and interesting to play against. Make sure she's also obnoxiously loud but has a pay to win skin that's quieter.
-
Can confirm I did EVERY quest and I finally got credit. This is absurd.
1) As other people have said, in the past you could complete rifts while only playing one role. Not everyone enjoys both roles and requiring both is a mistake.
2) Changing what quests give credit midway through a rift without communicating it is terrible customer service. -
PC here. Stuck at 45 despite having 55.

Its meta in comp because in comp half the good perks are banned.
Also, it is super rare to have pentimento, plaything AND devour. The point is to not cleanse the bad ones. Don't assume devour unless they prove otherwise. The other obvious thing is, just remember where you cleansed stuff. When a hex is cleansed everyone gets a notification of where it is, so just pay attention to that, and if you see pentimento pop up, you know exactly where it is. It ends up taking the killer about as much time to add pentimento as it does for a single survivor to remove it if they just pay attention.
It's not super rare to see Pentimento, Plaything, and Devour right now. Slot in Thrill of the Hunt as the 4th and you have a build multiple influencers have made a video with in the last three days.
Also, "it takes the killer just as long to add Pentimento as to cleanse it" is nonsensical, given that it takes 47 seconds to cleanse it right now. -

The first time you touch a gen in a match you see the aura of the killer
Do you mean each gen, so it can trigger at most 7 times? It can't be the first one single time a survivor touches a gen in the match, because the patch notes specifically call out triggering multiple times across the match.
-
I don't understand the trigger for Poised's new effect. What does "when you first start repairing a gen" mean? Is it when I initially start the repair action, and if so can I gen tap over and over to activate it constantly? Is it the first time I ever touch each gen? Is it when a gen is at 0% and I start repairing it?

Nerf? Depending on who you ask, I guess. Itβs getting endurance tacked onto it, but also being lowered to only two protection hits. Sounds like the perk will be way more seen and useful now.
No, it's worse than useless. They made it easier to activate, sure, but activating it is actively bad. The killer gets to know it's active, so they can safely ignore you knowing that you can't do anything to help your team, then when your aura goes away the killer gets to know that you can be killed now.
-
With the conspicuous action change DS could stun the killer for 10 seconds and it'd be fine. Hell, make triggering DS uninstall the game on the killer's computer and I'd be OK with it.
-
Every perk change in this update reads like somebody who doesn't play the game saying the first thing that pops into their head as a fix with no thoughts about the effects they'd have. When you read each update and think about it for more than 3 seconds you'll invariably find a better solution for whatever problem they were trying to fix, and also find a problem their solution caused that's worse than the original problem.
-
The existence of counterplay doesn't change the fact that this change means Thana will only be run on the two killers who were specifically called out in the update as being problematic when using it. BHVR took a perk that everyone could use, but a couple killers abused, and made it into a perk only those two killers will ever use, and one of them barely cares about the change at all.
-

So on the off chance some poor fool in my survivor game happens to be using this perk, and he takes a protection hit and I suddenly see his aura, why in the name of god would I ever hit him? He now has to choose between just doing nothing for the rest of the game, or sacrificing all the work that he's done, which *I will also immediately know because his aura will go away*
This perk is now literally worse than worthless! It requires you to take two hits to then signal to the killer that you're going to be useless for the forseeable future, and then informs the killer exactly when you've decided to no longer be useless but given up the endurance state.
Hey, let's be fair to BHVR. They had to make some sort of change in response to the zero people anywhere who thought MoM needed to be changed in any way shape or form.
When you're getting that amount of literally no requests that you do anything at all, you just gotta do something.

Pain res synergising with DMS again (especially now nerfed) is still more counterable and less stupid than its synergy with merciless storm
What synergy? The interaction was so corner-case and minor to be a joke, and BHVR could have safely ignored it.
IF you hook somebody AND it's on a scourge hook AND somebody is on a gen AND that gen is over 90% AND it was never over 90% before THEN they get a bunch of skill checks. Big deal?
-
Super cool that the killer knows they can safely ignore you until your aura goes away, and then knows that you no longer have endurance.
-
So now the killer gets to completely ignore you secure in the knowledge that you can't do anything useful, and if your aura ever goes away they know they can kill you.
Cool. Cool. Good design choice. π

My friend.....You can either look at where they were downed and watch for the aura as they get hooked. Or count to at least 5 and let go....How is it not a reality...? It's stupidly easy to counter
Your "count to at least 5" is the gamble. There's no way of knowing from across the map if that aura is 5 seconds away from a hook, or right next to one.
And yes, I can watch for the hooking animation, and then get boned with a badly timed skill check, as per usual.

Is it really that hard to let go of a gen for a split second...?
In solo queue that isn't a reality. You either stand there like a moron for the entire time between the downed survivor being picked up and being hooked, or you gamble and try to time it with no info.

with 30 seconds cooldown you can use it even more offten and 30 sec is allready good to push away people from that gen.
They said the duration is 30 seconds. They didn't say anything about the cooldown.
It's possible it'll be reduced as well, so it works like it does now where it can always be active, but it's also possible there'll now be a 15 second gap where it's dormant.

-
It's not 12%. It's 2% per survivor and a bonus 12% if all four are injured.
1 injured = 2%
2 injured = 4%
3 injured = 6%
4 injured = 20%
I agree with you it's a weird change, but wanted to at least show the accurate math.
-
"The issue was between PR and Merciless Storm... So why not fix one of those perks. For example, just add a time limit to Merciless Storm."
Or just do literally nothing.
The "issue" they are fixing is that if the killer activated PR you could get a million skill checks. And? So what? Either I pass them all and have a cool clutch moment I can be proud of, or I fail one and the gen is blocked, WHICH IS NOW GOING TO HAPPEN 100% of the time due to DMS.
Was the PR/MS combo unforeseen? Sure. But it wasn't hurting anything and this change is actively bad.
-
It isn't working "even better" because despite your condescending attitude, those people SHOULD be in red rank, because they earned their way there. A bug screwing people out of pips they rightfully earned isn't a good thing just because you think you're better than everyone else.
-
The bug encourages people to play like selfish rats and hide in the corner self-caring, because only survival matters. Why do gens and unhook people when dying erases all my progress?
